Chapter 519
Chapter 519:
Eric's gaze grew intense, his feelings getting the better of him. He said rashly, “Khloe, remember, I'm your
fiancé!”
“We ended our engagement three years ago, Eric. We're nothing to each other now,” Khloe replied, stepping to
pass by Eric.
Driven by jealousy, Eric said, “Khloe, you're not leavingany options!” Without waiting for her response, he
seized her wrist and pulled her close, intending to kiss her.
Khloe’s expression hardened as she broke the kiss, her voice tinged with irritation. “Henrik, are you out of your
mind?”
Instead of backing away, Henrik pulled her closer, pinning her against the rough bark of a tree. His voice
dropped to a low rumble. “TellI'm wrong.”
“You are!” Khloe shot back, struggling against his grip. But his arms were unyielding, trapping her in place.

I’m not your property.”
Henrik’s lips curved into a slight smirk as amusement flickered in his eyes. He leaned in closer. “Point taken,” he
murmured.
But his actions betrayed his words. Henrik kissed her again, his grip tightening as he pulled her fully into his
embrace.
Defiance flared within Khloe, and she responded in kind. Her arms encircled his neck, her lips moving fiercely
against his.
Their kiss was an unspoken challenge, each fighting to dominate the other.
The intensity surged between them until, breathless, they finally broke apart. Henrik’s eyes locked onto hers, a
faint trace of blood on his lips where her defiance had marked him. His smirk deepened. “You never back down,
do you?”
“And neither do you,” Khloe countered with a sharp exhale. She pushed him away with a firm hand, her tone
calm once more. “I have things to do.” Without waiting for a response, she strode off.

Henrik remained where he stood, his gaze fixed on her retreating silhouette, a trace of a smile lingering on his
lips.
After Khloe’s flawless display of culinary prowess, Sloane couldn't help but compare it to her own lacking skills.
Feigning indifference, she sidled up to Giuliana, pulling her away from the watchful eyes of the camera crew.
Leaning casually against a tree trunk, she clicked off her microphone and cast a furtive glance at her companion.
“Giuliana, I'm so sorry,” Sloane murmured, her voice trembling with feigned emotion. “This is all my fault. If |
hadn't dragged you into this, Khloe wouldn't have made you her target. | feel awful.”
“How is this your fault?” Giuliana snapped, her face flushed with anger. “It’s that witch Khloe! She's the one
showing off, making us look bad with her archery and cooking. It’s obvious she’s trying to humiliate us in front of
everyone. She's out of control!”
Inside, Sloane felt a flicker of satisfaction at Giuliana’s outrage, but her expression remained one of innocence.
“I'm sure Khloe didn’t mean to. She’s always been like this, ever since we were kids. I'm used to it. But... You're
my friend, Giuliana. There are sthings | shouldn't say, but | don’t want you to get hurt because of her.”

Sloane hesitated before speaking. “Khloe has powerful connections. If you cross her here, she might retaliate
once the show is over. | just don’t want you to get caught in the crossfire.”
Giuliana’s eyes narrowed, her expression hardening. “Let her try. I'll make sure Khloe doesn’t leave this show
unscathed. Out here, anything can happen. This time, I'll end her once and for all.”
Sloane held back her excitement, further fueling Giuliana’s determination to deal with Khloe.
After Giuliana seemed content and headed back to camp, Sloane quietly retrieved a compact satellite device and
sent a message. “I've provoked Giuliana. She can be our tool to take down Khloe without raising suspicion.”
