Elysia glanced at Justin before shifting her gaze back to Alice. “You cat just the right time.”

“So that means, Elysia, you and Justin are done talking?” Alice asked.

“More or less,” Elysia replied.

Noticing the smile on Elysia’s face, Justin's expression darkened slightly. He hoped very much that Elysia could

also wear such a smile when facing him.

“Since you still have something to do, | won't bother you. I'll be heading out now,” Justin said.

“Alright,” Elysia replied.

Justin turned and walked away. Alice watched his retreating figure, then mused, “Why is it that every t| come

over, | run into him with you?”

“Elysia, between Justin and Zane, who do you like more?” Alice asked.

Looking at how adorable Alice was, Elysia couldn't bring herself to blher even if she wanted to. She just

found it somewhat amusing.

Alice, a twelve-year-old girl, was actually concerned about who Elysia liked.

When Elysia didn’t respond, Alice continued on her own, “I think you like Zane more.”

“And what makes you think that?” Elysia asked.

“You and Zane are so close, but with Justin? It always feels like there's sdistance between you two. So, |

think you must like Zane more,” Alice reasoned.

Elysia reached out and tapped her head. “As a kid, you really shouldn't be worrying about these things.”

“Elysia, you're a kid too,” Alice countered.

“I'm an adult.” Elysia corrected.

“No way! To me, you're still a kid,” Alice declared.

Alice turned her head away, sulking. ‘Elysia always says I'm a kid. But I'm not! | know a lot of things!’ she

thought to herself.

She placed a gentle hand on Alice's shoulder and asked softly, ‘So, what did you want to talk toabout?”

Alice finally remembered the reason she had come. She turned back to Elysia and said, “Elysia, if Zane comes to

pick you up in the future, you have to make sure he takeswith him.

“Otherwise, I'll be a poor little kid with nowhere to go. It'd be way too sad.”

Alice’s voice was full of exaggerated misery, and her face scrunched up in distress. Even though she had already

“Everything in Sivro is taken care of. Make the arrangements; we're leaving this afternoon. | don’t want to delay

the construction for even a moment. Get in touch with the architects and set up a meeting in Jorlandia right

away,” Fabian

instructed.
