Chapter 5534: Slaying the Pavilion Master
Feng Xinyue hovered in the air, surrounded by golden divine light. That was the final radiance of the golden bell. With a simple touch, Feng Xinyue destroyed the terrifying Divine Emperor weapon, leaving everyone stunned into silence. Even Long Chen’s pupils contracted at the sight.
Although Long Chen had guessed that Feng Xinyue’s power exceeded his understanding, he had not expected her to be capable of crushing a terrifying Divine Emperor weapon with a light tap.
Blood dripped out of the pavilion master’s mouth. His face was pale, and his eyes were full of terror. That was his divine weapon, and having it shattered dealt a serious wound to his soul and Yuan Spirit.
On the other hand, Feng Xinyue seemed like a god descending from the heavens. Her beauty and grand air made it so no one dared to look at her. It was like looking at her was a sin.
The pavilion master stuttered, “Di-di-divine…”
His mouth quivered, but he couldn’t say a word.
“As a Divine Emperor, you allowed greed to blind you. You sought Long Chen’s weapon and intended to kill him for it. Do you comprehend your sin?” asked Feng Xinyue, looking down on that pavilion master.
The pavilion master’s whole body shook in terror as he stammered, “I-I was just scaring him because he was so vicious…”

For this fellow to becso greedy to obtain it, at the very least, he had a good judgment.Ignoring the pavilion master’s effort to explain himself, Long Chen turned his focus to Feng Xinyue. The pavilion master had tried to call her a Divine something, but what?
The experts of the head pavilion stood frozen, unable to process the scene before them. Who was this woman, and how could she reduce their proud pavilion master to such a pathetic state?
Feng Xinyue’s voice cut through their confusion. “Vicious? You call Long Chen vicious because he kills with his saber, yet you fail to see the subtler ways of killing without lifting a finger.”
After a brief pause, she continued, “As pavilion master, you were responsible for guiding these disciples. Instead, you failed them. If they enter the Heaven Vein Mystic Realm in this state, ninety-nine percent of them will die.”
All the prideful heavenly geniuses were shocked, but they couldn’t question the words coming from Feng Xinyue’s mouth. It was as if her words were skind of sacred edicts or laws.
Long Chen was startled but quickly realized why Feng Xinyue had left it up to him to deal with them.
Feng Xinyue continued, “You’ve lived peacefully for too long. Your instincts have dulled, your sense of danger eroded. You can’t even gauge someone’s strength, let alone recognize a fatal threat. Inside the Heaven Vein Mystic Realm, you’ll be like a blind horse stumbling into traps. Did you believe that being in the Wind God Sea Pavilion made you untouchable? Even if Long Chen were a part of this pavilion, do you think he couldn’t end your lives if he wanted to? You stood on the brink of death, oblivious to your peril. From top to bottom, you’re all absolute fools”
Turning her gaze to the pavilion master, Feng Xinyue started to scold him like a child. “As the leader, you bear the blfor sending your disciples to their deaths. This crdeserves a thousand deaths.”
With a wave of her hand, an unseen force lifted the pavilion master into the air. His expression twisted in terror, but he was completely immobilized, unable to speak or resist.
Feng Xinyue clenched her hand, and the pavilion master exploded in a rain of blood. The fresh blood of a Divine Emperor rained down, filling the nostrils of everyone present with its metallic tang.
The sight and scent of death pierced through their senses, sparking a primal fear that shook their souls.
“Do you feel it?” Feng Xinyue’s voice cut through the silence like a blade. “That is the stench of death.”
The experts of the head pavilion were paralyzed with terror. Through the lingering aura of the pavilion master’s despair and resentment, they experienced the chilling reality of death firsthand.
It was as if they themselves had just died and returned. The feeling of standing over an abyss reawakened their long-dormant survival instincts.
Feng Xinyue declared, “Originally, I hoped Long Chen’s methods would awaken your sense of fear and reverence. Yet, your folly surpassed my expectations. Even as your comrades fell, you didn’t realize what kind of danger you were in. In that case, I could only use your pavilion master’s life to enlighten you!
“You previously estimated that fifty percent of you would die in the Heaven Vein Mystic Realm. Letcorrect you—with your foolish arrogance, ninety-nine percent of you are doomed. Complete annihilation is not only possible but likely.”
Tang Wan-er finally understood her master’s goal—purging their arrogance to increase their chances of survival. Tang Wan-er immediately felt regretful over how she had been angry at her master.

The terror in the eyes of the head pavilion’s experts confirmed that Feng Xinyue’s goal was achieved. Only by rekindling their instincts and fear of death could they survive the perils awaiting them.
“If you want to survive in the Heaven Vein Mystic Realm, unity and mutual reliance are your only paths forward. I had to kill your pavilion master because he was too stupid. Even at this time, he hasn’t picked out a leader amongst you. If you enter the Heaven Vein Mystic Realm like this, you’ll be like a plate of sand against the waves of the ocean. Let alone those powerful ancient factions, even ssmaller factions will be able to devour you. His foolishness almost killed all of you.”
Feng Xinyue’s voice softened slightly as she concluded, “I know many of you think highly of yourselves. Very well. I’ll give you a chance to prove it. Anyone who believes they have the strength and wisdom to lead the Wind God Sea Pavilion, step forward.”
After that, Feng Xinyue simply vanished, leaving everyone baffled. They just looked at each other in confusion.
Long Chen blinked in disbelief. “Is that it?”
He had expected Feng Xinyue to take charge, but once again, she had left them to their own devices.
“Long Chen, what should we do?” asked Tang Wan-er hesitantly.
“Run,” he said decisively, motioning for his group to follow. “Let them sort themselves out. We have no tfor this mess.”
However, as they turned to leave, a group of people emerged, blocking their path.
