The sword hilt trembled violently, and even Nash's Profound Oriental Realm cultivation could not control it in the slightest.

The blade lifted one centimeter from the black soil, and its entire edge was crimson. It emitted a terrifying aura that made Nash's

bones crackle.

Nash spat out a mouthful of blood. His pupils trembled, and he forcefully pressed the blade back into the ground. Once the blade

returned to the ground, the heart-pounding aura dissipated. Nash let out a long sigh. His eyes filled with astonishment.

The grade of this sword had surpassed that of a spiritual weapon. It was even more terrifying than his Nine Dragons Sword.

After the attempt just now, he figured that he could pull it out with a bit more expenditure of spiritual energy. Yet after pulling it

out, he estimated it would be difficult for him to control the sword with his strength alone.

After much consideration, Nash abandoned the idea of taking the sword.

He continued forward, walking for about two hours before seeing a skeleton. More precisely, it was a skull, one as large as a house

and was about three stories high. Nash stopped in his tracks, staring fixedly at the enormous skull in a daze.

If the body were still intact, it would have been at least a hundred meters tall, right?

Was it an Ancient Immortal?

Or a god of the West?

Just as Nash was lost in thought, a loud noise suddenly cfrom inside the skull.

Was there someone in there?

Nash took out the Nine Dragons Sword and strode toward the giant teeth of the skull. At the stime, a head suddenly emerged

from the skull's eye socket.

"Holy crap, Nash..." Ryan waved excitedly at Nash.

"Pup?" Nash saw clearly that it was Ryan and felt a surge of joy.

"Holy crap, | finally saw a living person, and it's a familiar face at that!" Ryan jumped down from the giant eye socket and quickly

approached Nash, giving him a bear hug.

"How long have you been here?" Nash patted Ryan's back firmly. Just as he finished speaking, a sudden white light descended

without warning.

Nash reacted swiftly, pulling Ryan away and moving about a hundred meters away. The white light landed on the ground, leaving

behind a sword mark about one finger wide on the black soil.

"Let's go inside that skull where we won't be attacked!" Ryan was unfazed by the sight and led Nash toward the skull.

The gaping mouth of the skull was three meters high and about five meters wide, spacious enough for ten people to walk in

together.

The interior space of the skull was vast, capable of amodating at least 200 or 300 people. In a corner lay a tooth the size of a

door panel with cracks all over.

"After entering the light circle, | fell onto a deserted island where my power was restricted and | almost died from the injuries. After

nursing myself back to health, | found a broken ship, fixed it, and cto this black land!"

Ryan then sat on the tooth and took out a half-pack of cigarettes from his pocket. He offered one to Nash. "I arrived here the day

before yesterday and encountered a Westerner. The guy wanted to killas soon as he saw me, but | managed to kill him

instead!"

Nash took the cigarette from Ryan and sat beside him.

Ryan lit Nash's cigarette with a lighter and then chuckled bitterly. "I never thought I'd end up killing someone!"

After helping Nash light his cigarette, he placed his own cigarette into his mouth and lit it. He squinted as he took a deep drag.

"Nash, have you ever killed anyone?"
