Luna was floating behind Nathan, watching him closely while he was discussing their strategy with the other two.
"First, we don't know what's inside the teleportation gate. One clue we have is, most likely, it is a monster dungeon. And with this number of participants...." Muramoto said, "Then it must be something very dangerous, something that might take many people to work together to beat it."
"Then why do we have to form our own parties, Muramoto? Your conclusion is somewhat doubtful." Linda replied.
"Because it's easier to defeat something big by working with a smaller group. That's the basis of my conclusion, Linda-chan," Muramoto said.
"Then where is the competition?" She asked. "I thought we would face some kind of competition, killing lots of monsters, capturing the flag, or group battles. I mean, things like that would be more fun than killing the same enemies together, right?"
"That's true." Nathan agreed. "It looks like this event is designed specifically for us to fight against each other."
"Yes, that's the point. We should try to understand what the goal is and how we should act according to that purpose." Muramoto continued explaining.
Linda frowned as she listened to Muramoto.
"Back to the topic. Tell me, what kind of party composition should we make?" Nathan asked. He turned to Muramoto, "Muramoto?"
"I'm not sure yet," Muramoto answered after thinking for a moment. "But I guess it'd be good to have at least one tank, one healer and one damage dealer as it would be better if we have a pure mage. In addition, someone who can use buffs or debuffs would also be nice. And maybe since not all the participants in this test are fighters, it might be better if we recruit profession based roles too, such as alchemist, blacksmith and the like. I mean, there must be a lot of them who weren't selected for the party, and they will be quite useful to us in the long run."
"Agree," Nathan nodded. "Quickly tost the announcements about all the roles we may need for our party, Muramoto."
Muramoto nodded and then did something with his Hunter Device. After some time, he lifted his face. "Nathan-san..." he looked at Nathan. "We have to choose a party name as well as someone who will be the leader, too."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"We don't have time to think about the party name Muramoto. Write whatever comes to mind, for example... Hmmm..." Linda said and then paused for a while before continuing her thoughts. "How about 'The Three Musketeers'?" she suggested. "We three are going through everything together."
"That's so bad, because we won't be just the three of us, Linda-chan.!" Muramoto said enthusiastically.
"Then, 'The Five Musketeers.'" Linda said. "That sounds better."
"I don't think anyone would want to hear that," Nathan said.
"I agree with Nathan-san," Muramoto said. "If we say we're five musketeers, we'll probably get laughed at by everyone else."
"Then, 'The Seven Hunters'," Linda proposed.
"That's even worse!" Muramoto exclaimed.
Luna chuckled softly but stopped when she heard both Nathan and Muramoto talking. She couldn't help herself from smiling at their reactions.
"Okay, let Nathan-san choose the name. No complaints from everyone." Muramoto said. He was trying to keep up with their conversation.
"What about 'The Four Heavenly Kings'?" Linda suggested.
"No, that's too long." Muramoto replied immediately.
"How about 'Vensalor'?" Nathan suggested.
"Hmmm..." Luna thought for a moment. "What does Vensalor mean?" she asked curiously.
Nathan smiled and said. "Vensalor is a kingdom of elves in the stories I've read. I like the name and the story too. Vensalor is an elven kingdom which was located on a giant floating island in the middle of the sea. I mean, ever since I read that book, I imagined I could actually live in such a place. And I want to adopt it as our party name. Do you guys agree?"
"I think it's perfect!" Linda cheered.
Muramoto raised his hand and said: "I'm fine with that name too."
"Then it's decided! Let's call our party 'Vensalor!' he continued.
Muramoto continued by registering their party name.
"And then, what about the role?" he asked.
"Let's see... We definitely need a tank, as Muramoto mentioned earlier. But we also have to decide who will lead the team." Nathan pondered for a while.
Luna floated over to Nathan and whispered into his ear. "I think you should be the leader, Master. You're the main character, right?" she said with a light chuckle.
"You're the strongest out of all of us, Nathan-san. So I hope you will be the leader." Muramoto replied.
Linda chuckled lightly, "I don't even think about anyone else for that role, Oppa. I mean, I won't follow anyone but you."
Nathan nodded slowly. "I'm not sure about the strongest, but I have a fairly complete set of skills that can make me fit in any role. But, sure, if you don't mind, I will lead this team."
"Then let's go with that," Muramoto said. "But are you sure about becoming the tank, Nathan-san?"
Nathan nodded. "Don't worry, I have a golem that can do the job."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Okay then, so now we have to decide on the other two or three members."
"I think we should pick someone with a pure magic user and or a debuffer." Linda suggested.
Muramoto nodded and wrote something down with his Hunter Device.
"And then?" Nathan asked.
"Hmmm... A profession role would be good too. I mean, someone like an alchemist would really help us in the long run."
"I guess so. Then let's take one of them." Nathan said.
Muramoto immediately completed all the data he needed. And they waited a while for anyone to join them.
And not long after, someone came closer to them. "There's someone coming!" Muramoto said. "A mage? but..." he continued.
It was a girl who looked the same age as them. But there was an obvious difference in her appearance. Her skin color was light blue, her hair was white and wavy, and she also had a pair of pointy ears. She wore a black and purple robe, a sleeveless, knee-length black dress, and a pair of knee-high dark leather shoes.
She stopped in front of Nathan, and the others, with her face, lowered slightly.
"Sorry, I see you're looking for a mage and debuffer. Ummm...." She raised her face, and her two round, bright eyes looked straight at Nathan.
"A few days ago I saw you guys at some restaurant, and ummm...." she said and lowered her face again.
"I'm sorry, but I'm a dark elf." She said apologetically. "My name is Meriel Heijor. I'd like to join your party if you don't mind accepting a dark elf." She said without raising her head.
Nathan stared at her for a while, then turned to the rest of his team.
Luna was staring intently at Meriel. She was curious about what kind of person she was.
