Chapter 100 What Else Has Leah Stolen

Milo’s anger was practically radiating off him, his face flushed with frustration. “Charmaine!”

Right after he shouted, a bank card appeared in front of him.

“What's this?” he asked.

Charmaine gave him a small, almost amused smile. “It’s the money you put in my meal card. I'm giving it back

to you.”

Milo blinked, his confusion clear. “I didn’t ask you to payback. What's going on? You're barely making

anything as a maid-just keep it.”

He hesitated for a moment, then added, “If it's not enough, | can give you more...

Charmaine fixed him with a steady gaze. Her smile remained, but her eyes were as cold as ice.

In that instant, she realized she understood Emyr better.

No wonder he had been so resistant to her when she had gone to him, even making her work as a maid to

humiliate her.

Now, facing Milo, she felt the sexact thing.

“What? You think you can bribewith money to getto donate my kidney?” Charmaine scoffed, her voice

dripping with disdain. “I wouldn't even take Jonah’s 100 million. How much are you offering for Leah? Two

hundred million? Three hundred million?”

“N-no, Charmaine, you've got it all wrong,” Milo stammered, his words faltering.

The moment they left his mouth, he realized just how embarrassing this was.

Everything had turned around.

Not too long ago, he had treated Charmaine with the scold indifference she was showing him now.

Milo clenched his fists, his voice heavy with regret, “I know you're upset-what happened in the past, and Leah

stealing your design drafts-"

“Leah didn’t just steal my drafts,” Charmaine interrupted, her tone sharp and angry.

Her eyes blazed with fury as she spoke, each word cutting through the air with bitterness and pain, “She didn’t

just take my work. She stole my family, my identity ... everything. She took it all from me.”

Milo froze, taken aback by the fire in her gaze.

For what seemed like forever, he couldn't speak.

Finally, his voice cout hoarse as if each word was a struggle, “I know everything.”

Charmaine took a long, slow breath. “No, Milo. You only know what you think you know.”

She locked eyes with him, her voice steady but firm, “If you don’t believe me, go find out for yourself how much

Leah has really taken.”

Chapter 100 What Else Has Leah Stolen

Without saying another word, she turned and walked away,

Milo stood still, stunned, lost in thought.

What else has Leah stolen from Charmaine?

As Milo walked home, the confusion clouded his mind, questions swirling around with no answers.

“Mr. Milo, Ms. Leah hasn't returned yet,” a maid informed him as he entered the house.

Milo nodded absentmindedly and was about to leave when something caught his attention.

He stepped toward Leah's room, which looked like a princess’s palace, and noticed the maid holding something

in her hand. “What's that?”

The maid replied, “It looks like Ms. Leah’s bracelet. She must've forgotten to wear it today and left it on the

table.”

A bracelet?

No ...

Milo frowned and reached for it. As he examined it, his eyes widened in recognition.

It wasn’t a bracelet. It was a button. A poorly-made button.

Leah was always surrounded by luxury brands-every detail of her life was top-tier, down to the buttons on her

clothes. This shabby button definitely didn’t belong to her.

Still in thought, Milo heard the maid exclaim, “I knew it! This button-it looks exactly like the one on Charmaine’s

shirt...”

“Whose?” Milo’s voice shot up, startling the maid. She immediately lowered her head in fear.

With a shaky voice, she said, “It’s Charmaine’s. | remember washing one of her shirts, and it had a button

like this one.”

In that moment, Charmaine’s reddened eyes flashed in his mind.

Milo clenched his fists. He turned to the maid, his voice low and steady, “Has Charmaine’s stuff ever been in

Leah's room before?”

“I-1 don’t know,” the maid stammered. But her fear made her speak out, “But there were times when we found

strange things in Ms. Leah’s room-things that didn’t match her status. We thought they were gifts from her

friends.”

The maid had worked for the Nelsons for ten years, cleaning Leah’s room with one other person. They knew

every item that cand went.

Milo pressed, his tone sharp, “Where are those things now?”

The maid hesitated. “But Ms. Leah specifically told us not to touch them. She said if we did, we'd be fired ... ”
