[A human has been detected]

A human? ????????????????????????d. c????m

I was awoken by the alert of my Minion.

My body was still tired from the fight the previous night.

Was it Robbie?

I made my way outside, breathing in the chilly yet comfortable air. Killer Winter had officially concluded, and as a result, there was no longer a need to keep a Residential Heater Scout Minion nearby at all times. I walked over to my wall, escorted by my Elite Minions.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"You're rank #10, William Hunter, right?"

"How do you know my name."

"That's not relevant right now, I've come with a message."

"What is it."

"Are you aware that there are vampires who are attacking humans?"

"Yes, I am aware of that."

"We have formed a very large alliance of people. We want to ask for your cooperation in fighting against these vampires, at this rate, our entire race is going to be wiped out by them."

"I'll think about it."

"I highly request that you agree. We will provide you with any information we have gathered on them. At this moment in time, the human race is in peril, vampires have been wreaking havoc, killing thousands of people."

I thought about it for a little. It was certainly true that vampires were extremely dangerous.

At the moment, I would struggle immensely against them alone.

I guess cooperation was a necessity.

"Alright, I guess I agree to cooperate."

"Good, I'll provide you with all the information we have on them at the moment."

Suddenly, the informant conjured a book into his hand.

After clasping two hands on the book, he magically duplicated it.

Holding two copies of the book in his hands, he passed one to me.

"Inside the book is a map of the general area, if you want to communicate with us, you should go to the place labelled 'City Centre', there are always people gathered there."

"Okay, thanks."

"By the way, the book will automatically update whenever I write something in mine."

"Ah, that's useful."

"Make sure to check it every once in a while."

With that, the informant left.

I decided to open the magic book and read the contents.

Note: Any information here may be partially or completely incorrect.

Vampires appear to be creatures which have recently been transported to the world. From what we can tell, they are our enemies. They want to drink our blood, not the blood of animals or zombies. The only thing that they are weak to is the sun.

We have currently tried to categorise them based on the knowledge we have.

Lower Vampires: They have weak regenerative abilities and white weapons. They are still significantly stronger physically than the average human.

Upper Vampires: They have incredibly fast regeneration and use dark red weapons. They can't be killed by chopping off their head. So far the only way we've been able to kill them is by making them run out of blood.

These vampires are capable of feeding their weapons with their own blood. Usually, there chant something like 'Sword, drink my blood'. Their physical abilities are greatly accentuated upon doing so.

We are trying to segregate them into more precise groups.

Any information you can provide will be extremely helpful. Go to the City Centre and chat with other people if you have information or if you are worried about something.

It seemed that they didn't have a lot of information in regard to vampires either. I had only come into contact with one vampire and from the sounds of things, it must have been one of the 'upper vampires'. However, it had only been a single day, so it was to be expected that there wouldn't be much information.

With this in mind, I'd likely have to begin setting up some countermeasures. At the moment, my Minions weren't very effective against them. Physical attacks seemed to just be instantly regenerated, the only thing that my Minions were good for was stalling and whittling it down.

I decided to send my Minions out on expeditions first. From the information provided, they shouldn't be very active during the day since the sun was out. There was a chance that the information may be incorrect so I kept a larger group of Minions beside me than usual.

With nothing else to do, I considered making my way to this 'City Centre'. There was a good chance that there might be some useful stuff there. From the map that was provided in the book, it looked to be several kilometres away, which meant that it was going to be a pretty long walk.

Although, it wasn't like there was anything more useful to do.

I started trekking through the forest, with my Minions surrounding me. I was walking with my Elites and all of my Warrior Minions and a few Archery Scout Minions. My feet trudged through the vegetation, wearing it down so that there was a slight path being formed behind me.

The walk took a decent amount of time, but eventually, I saw a very large settlement in the distance. It was much larger than any other villages I'd seen up until this point. There were hundreds of buildings with paths in between. It was pretty much an actual city, just with some more archaic infrastructure.

As I reached the outskirts of the city, I was greeted by several people.

"Hi, are you coming to the city centre?" they asked.

"Yeah."

"I'll lead you over, follow me."

I looked around and noticed that I wasn't the only one who was just arriving. There were big groups of humans, arriving from all over. I guess these vampires have really shaken up the human population. I joined in with the horde of people as we all made our way toward the city centre.

Other people looked at my Minions awkwardly, although no one commented on them. A few moments later, another person came over.

"You're the rank #10 aren't you? Come with me."

I guess I was getting special treatment.

I left the big group of people and followed this person to another part of the city. In the distance, I saw a smaller group of people standing around.

"I've got another leaderboard person here."
