Chapter 0976 +25 BONUS After spending their first night together in 23 years, Theodore woke up and found himself staring at Fiona's beautiful face. He couldn't understand why she wanted him-he hadn't done anything extraordinary.

Slowly, Fiona stirred, feeling his gaze on her. A faint blush crept onto her cheeks. She was naked-completely naked-lying beside the man she had prayed for more than half her life.

"Theodore..." she whispered.

"That sounds much better... See? You can say my name," he said, looking straight at her.

She looked enchanting. The pink tint on her cheeks fascinated him, though he didn't know how to put it into words. He reached out and caressed her face, and she leaned into his touch. "To hell with it,' he thought. 'We already did it-why should we feel embarrassed?' He pulled her against his chest and kissed her, realizing he could easily becaddicted to her.

That gaze of hers drove him crazy. That angelic look made him believe it was true-life was giving him another chance. He was an older man, but maybe, just maybe, life would grant him a few years of peace.

After spending most of the day in bed, the couple finally got up. Fiona smiled, and something in her eyes had changed. She looked like a different woman. For the first tin decades, she felt something new-something between desire, happiness, and fulfillment.

Adam hadn't chthat day. He had stayed at Peter's house after going out with Alden, returning late at night, and deciding to sleep in the guest room.

That worked perfectly for Theodore and Fiona. He was determined to give her everything he could. For starters, he didn't want her dressing the way she had been always hidden beneath those robes. She had a beautiful body, and there no reason to conceal it.

1 After breakfast, they went shopping. Tdidn't matter to Theodore. Though he wasn't used to these things, his profession had taught him how to do them well. He took her to exclusive boutiques where Fiona felt lost, unsure of what to do, what to choose, or what to buy.

Seeing her confusion, Theodore started making suggestions, picking out outfits for her to try on. Her wide, hesitant eyes reminded him of a frightened kitten. In one of the stores, she tried on a long, floral summer dress that fit her curves perfectly. When he saw her in it, he told her to keep it on.

Nervously, she nodded. She bought matching shoes, and Theodore smiled. This was the Fiona he wanted to see- a woman free from gaudy robes.

With several bags of clothes and shoes, Theodore took her to different jewelry stores, not hesitating to select pieces that would highlight her long, delicate neck. Her dark eyes and flowing hair stood out even more when she wore those exquisite jewels.

Fiona felt overwhelmed just looking at the sheer amount of clothes, shoes, and jewelry he had bought for her. Luckily, Theodore always had two or three bodyguards with him, who carried his excessive purchases without question.

His employees weren't surprised by his impulsive shopping-he often did the swith art. But never before had they seen him buy things for a woman. This twas different, and surprisingly, Theodore didn't seem to care about the cost.

My... Theodore, could we sit for a moment? I think I'm tired... Can we eat something?" Fiona asked, glancing toward an ice cream shop.

"You want ice cream?" he asked, puzzled.

"If my wife wants ice cream, then ice cream she shall have He took her hand, and they walked inside.

She chose a hazelnut gelato, and for the first time, she looked like a child-smiling, less shy. She didn't talk much, but her face, just like in the morning, was radiant and happy.

For Theodore, it was strange. He had never been this attentive to a woman. Sure, he had taken Celeste shopping before, and in the distant past, Alexia's mother too. But this wasn't something he usually did.

The afternoon quickly turned into evening, and Theodore took her to dinner. Fiona was mesmerized by the place it was the srestaurant where Peter and Celeste had once begun their relationship.

She looked up at the sky, watching as the stars started to appear above them. She breathed in deeply, feeling a sense of peace she hadn't known in years. A warm smile settled on her face.

And in that moment, Theodore understood what Peter had told him once: "You've got a lot to think about, my dear Theodore. I don't know Fiona, but from what little you've told me, it's clear she's a good woman who deserves speace. If you want to build a family with her, you have a lot of work to do." Meanwhile, at Peter's house, Adam was pacing back and forth, worried because his mother wasn't answering his calls. He kept dialing his father too, but he hadn't responded since yesterday.

Peter glanced at him while scrolling through his tablet.

"What's wrong, Adam?" he asked.

"My mother and father aren't answering... They left ey lefthere, but I'm worried they won't pick up," Adam said anxiously.

"Adam, kid, they're probably just enjoying stalone. Trust me, if something bad had happened, we'd already know. I'll send Theodore a message." Peter quickly typed a short text: [Everything okay?] The reply calmost instantly.

- [Yes.] Peter smirked-he knew it was true.

[Good.] [Take care of Adam for me.] Peter rolled his eyes at the response but couldn't hide his amusement.

"Adam, they're fine. Your father says you should stay here tonight. They're probably out and won't be home, so you can sleep here." "They're okay..." Adam sighed in relief.
