Chapter 0950 After Peter left Valerie alone with her daughter, Serenity sat beside her mother, hugged her tightly, and felt the warmth of her embrace surrounding her.
"Mom! You have no idea how much I miss you..." Serenity said with absolute certainty.
"Serenity, sweetheart... I'm close by. You can callanytime, and if you ever needto come, I will. You can still visit hlike before. I know you shouldn't be driving in your condition, but a driver can always take you," Valerie said as she watched her daughter's eyes fill with tears.
"I'm sorry, Mom! This pregnancy hascrying over everything. Look at me! I'm not like this, and you know it..." Serenity said between sobs.
Valerie had to admit her daughter was right. Serenity had always been strong and mature, but now she looked as fragile as a lost little girl.
"My love, if you ever need me, never hesitate to reach out. I always text you, and you tellyou're fine. I call, and you say the same. I know you're more emotional now-I've been through it too. But if you feel this way, you know you can always cto me," Valerie said, trying to comfort her.
"Oh, Mom... I never imagined what pregnancy would really be like, or how hard it would be to be away from home, away from you and Dad... not seeing you, not seeing John..." Serenity sobbed.

Though, of course, I know he's terrified of your father," Valerie said playfully. “But I doubt he'd want to see you sad" "I know! But I don't want to be a bother. I don't want to be selfish. You have my little siblings now, and you're busy-especially since Camille isn't around anymore," Serenity explained hesitantly.
"My love, I will always have tfor all my children. Never doubt that. And remember, you and I have always been together,” Valerie said, thinking back to the twhen they only had each other.
Looking at her daughter, Valerie couldn't help but feel her pain. She understood her completely. Pregnancy made you vulnerable, emotional, and unstable. Seeing Serenity like this brought a lump to her throat because when she had been pregnant with her, her own life had been far from ideal. And after Serenity was born, they had spent six months alone.
Those months had felt like an eternity-at least until Camille found her again at the cemetery. Valerie knew that even though Serenity now had a wonderful partner, pregnancy could still make everything feel overwhelming.
"Hey... wipe those tears away. I don't like seeing you cry. Besides, I brought you something. Look inside this box- I know you're going to love it," Valerie said, pushing a large white box toward her.
"What is it, Mom?" Serenity asked, intrigued.
"Open it and find out!" Valerie said with a warm smile.
Serenity wiped her tears and carefully opened the large box.
"Mom! This is your wedding dress!" she exclaimed in surprise.
"Yes, sweetheart! That's the one," Valerie said, smiling.
Serenity took the dress out and held it up against her body. She quickly realized that it definitely wouldn't fit her. When her mother got married, she had been incredibly thin. There were parts of the dress that wouldn't even cclose to closing, especially with her growing baby bump.

"Well... I figured you'd say that. So, I cup with an idea..." Valerie said, her voice full of mischief.
"What? What are you thinking?" Serenity asked, doubtful.
"I know how much you love this dress. I know because you used to sneak into my closet and 'borrow' it whenever you had the chance. Now it's your time. Obviously, it won't fit you perfectly, but we can take parts of it and create a custom dress just for you. We can design something that keeps all the details of this one," Valerie said enthusiastically.
"But, Mom... that would mean destroying your dress," Serenity said, hesitant.

"Don't think of it that way! If we can put this dress to good use-since I only wore it once-it would makeso happy. Nothing would makeprouder than seeing pieces of it with you on one of the most important days of your life. And if we have fabric left over, we could even use it for the bridesmaids' dresses. Or better yet, we could save sfor our little Serene's christening gown," Valerie said reassuringly. "Really? You wouldn't mind sharing it with me? You wouldn't be upset if your dress was taken apart?" Serenity asked, still unsure.
"Why would I be? You'll be wearing it, and that's all that matters to me. Your dream of wearing it can @true, But we have to hurry because getting a dress made in twon't be easy. Every day counts," Valerie said, smiling and encouraging her. "Well then, Mom... of course, I want to! I want to wear this dress-how exactly, I don't know yet-but I want to see if we can design something with it," Serenity said, her eyes filled with excitement.
"Alright, sweetheart. Leave it to me.

We'll find a design that fits your beautiful figure, and promise, by the wedding day, it will be ready,” Valerie said, already thinking about how she would tell Marcus that she needed the best designer he could find. After their conversation, Valerie and Serenity sat together, browsing designs that could work for Serenity's figure. They cup with several ideas. With a clear vision in mind, Valerie sent a message to Marcus, asking for his help.
"Sweetheart, Serenity agreed to use my dress to create a new one. Helpfind someone who can make it in record time. I love you." Valerie knew it was a bit of a sneaky move, but if she didn't do it this way, she knew her husband and daughter would end up in an endless debate over ideas.
Marcus, upon receiving the message, didn't hesitate for a second and immediately took care of the request- though he was already planning how he would make his beloved wife pay him back for the favor later.
