Chapter 214
Cheryl endured the pain and straightened her back. She crossed her arms in front of her and sneered. Then, she looked at Celena disdainfully and said, "How dare I slap her? She's a bastard, yet she dared to push me. You should be thankful that I didn't kill her."
The word "bastard" made Jovie cry even harder. She threw herself into Celena's arms and said in sorrow, "I'm not a bastard, Mom. I have a father. I'm not- I have a father, so why did she say I'm a bastard?"
Reginald had a sullen expression as he sat on the chair. He looked at Celena fiercely and barked, "Enough, Celena! You should teach your child to behave. The way she acted was so rude. How embarrassing."
Celena could not believe it as she looked at Reginald.

Feeling indignant, Celena said, "Grandpa, how could you say that about Jovie? She's just a child. Cheryl's a full-grown adult. She—"
But before she could finish, Reginald impatiently raised his hand to cut her off. His tone was even colder as he shouted, "How dare you argue? Listen to me, Celena. I've given you a chance. Since you're not willing to admit your mistake, don't blme for not showing you mercy."
He turned to his security guards and ordered, "Throw both of them out of the mansion! They are such embarrassments!"
Tears could not stop streaming down Celena's face upon hearing that. She wailed at Reginald at the top of her lungs, "Why don't you believe me, Grandpa? I'm not lying. Liam is the one who bought this car. I didn't embezzle money from the company. I didn't do anything that would wrong the family!
"Why are you not willing to believe me? Why are you always only listening to Cheryl's words? I refuse to accept this, Grandpa. Why are you not willing to trust me?"
A few security guards went up to pull Celena and Jovie away while both of them kept struggling.
Jovie was weak as she was still a child, so she was being carried by a security guard. As for Celana, the security guard pinned her arms behind her back. Her wrists were bruised while she struggled.
Right as the security dragged Celena out, someone violently kicked down the gate to the front yard, creating a loud bang.
A figure that was covered in a frosty air and filled with anger stood at the door.

The domineering and murderous voice frightened the crowd, as well as the security guard who was dragging Celena out. They were all frozen in place while trembling.
That was especially true when they saw Liam walking toward them like a ferocious beast. The murderous air he exuded was not concealed at all. The Stone family got so frightened that they quickly ran away from him. They were deeply afraid that they would get themselves in trouble by accident.
After Liam walked in, he saw Celena and Jovie on the ground. He got so furious that he clenched his fists tight. He was livid after he saw both Jovie's and Celena's faces were covered in blood.
Once Jovie saw Liam, she broke herself free from the security guard who was in a daze. Then, she rushed into Liam's arms and cried with grievance, "Dad, they bullied Mom and me. They slapped us. They said I'm a bastard. I'm not a bastard." She sobbed.
Liam carried Jovie in his arms, feeling heartbroken. A hint of desire to kill gleamed in his eyes after he saw the red handprint on Jovie's face.
He scanned the crowd with a frosty gaze and asked coldly, "Who did it?"
Nobody dared to make a sound.
The members of the Stone family could not help but retreat a little as Liam's gaze landed on them. Sherah retreated to the back of the crowd after Liam appeared, not daring to make a sound.
