The second half of the match had just kicked off with Unique FC starting the kick-off.

They had a comfortable two-goal lead so far so all they had to do was put extra effort into their defense and maybe see if they could get a third goal.

"The second half is set with the guests still sitting comfortably with a two-goal lead," Jim said. "Can Spree United make a comeback or are they going to receive more bullying from Unique FC who have been the better side so far."

It had been two minutes since the match resumed and Spree United had not touched the ball and that was nothing to be surprised about given the fact that Unique FC was a side that liked to keep the ball always.

"I expected Spree United's manager to make a few changes in his team, especially in his midfield but it turns out he still has faith in his current squad to turn things around," Steve said.

Ferran was with the ball now as he pushed forward but his path was blocked by a few Spree United players and not wanting to take his chance with a dribble, he passed the ball to Minino.

Minino tried to make a quick run past the player that was marking him but he wasn't fast enough and was brought down by a player under the mistimed challenge.

"That's a foul," Jim said as the referee blew his whistle and quickly rushed to the area.

"Yeah, and Unique FC players are gathering around the referee now to ask for a card," Steve said.

"I don't think that's worth a yellow card, it was a mistimed challenge but it's not bad and Minino is back on his feet," Jim said.

"Yeah, I agree," Steve said.

Just like the commentators said, no card was given as Unique FC were awarded a free kick.

The free kick was played short by Minino to Ferran who quickly rolled it to Harry who feigned make a cross to the other side of the pitch before playing a through ball to Mateo.

Mateo easily got past the right back marking him with a dummy before making a quick run to the left side of Spree United's eighteen-yard box.

"Mateo coming up with more ways to get away from the defense," Jim said.

He knew there was no way for him to get into the box but there was someone in the box who could properly take what he was cooking up.

He ran closer to the goal kick line before tipping a cross to the far end of the goal post.

Fredinho and a Spree United defender rose high to meet the ball but the Spree United player got there ahead of Fredinho but he wasn't able to get a proper header as the ball bounced off his head and fell to Carlos who had entered the area now.

Carlos knew he couldn't get a shot from his position and that was why he dived for a header.

"Diving header!!" Jim screamed.

Carlos got his head on the ball but his accuracy was a bit off as the ball hit on the lower crossbar and bounced out for a goal kick.

"That was close!"

Carlos got up and shook his head before running back to their side of the pitch.

"Mateo has proven to be a big threat so far into the match," Jim said.

"Yeah, they have to find a way to contain him or they are going to be conceeding more goals," Steve said.

Spree United had possession of the ball now for the first time since the match resumed as the goalkeeper passed the ball short to one of his centre-backs.

They passed the ball around in their own half for a while before playing a through pass to the central defensive midfielder who had quickly made his way past Ferran and there was nothing the attacking midfielder could do about it.

The defensive midfielder made a run down the middle bedore lobbing a cross to their right winger who was all alone.

Unique FC players raised their hands as soon as the player got the ball but that was none of his problem as he moved closer and slotted the ball to the bottom left corner.

Dave got a hand to the ball but the shot was just too much for him to get under control as the ball bounced off his gloves and fell into the net.

"Oh, my Spree United has pulled one back!" An enthusiastic scream came from Jim.

<That's clearly an offside>

The referee didn't blow his whistle as the linesman had his flag raised for an offside.

"Oh, it's offside," Jim said.

"Spree United players are gathering around the referee to complain now," Steve said.

"I think there's going to be a VAR check," Jim said.

"Yeah, it seems like he is telling the players to come down and he's walking towards the VAR area now," Steve said.

"That was definitely an offside," Mateo said, walking toward Dave.

"Yeah, he was far away from me." Roland Ryle said.

"Why the VAR check, the linesman clearly said it was offside?" Dave said.

"Yeah," Mateo said.

"Hey Dave, the coach wants to see you." Minino came running toward the goalkeeper.

"Why?" Dave asked.

"I don't know," Minino said.

"It's probably to scold you because you couldn't save that unsaveable shot," Mateo said.

"I'll have to go and see if that's true," Dave said, already making his way toward their coach.

Dave got to the area to see that Norman was on his phone at the moment.

"Coach," Dave said, stopping in front of him.

"Yeah Dave, Clark wants to speak with you," Norman said.

"Clark?" Dave said with a surprised look on his face. "Why would Clark want to speak to me in the middle of a match?"

"Here," Norma said, handing him the phone.

"Hello, Clark," Dave said after placing the phone against his ear.

"Yeah, Dave something just happened," Clark said.

"What?"

"Your house was robbed and Emma got caught in the middle of it all," Clark said.

"What? Is Emma okay?" Dave asked as a horrid look had appeared on his face.

"Emma is okay, I just wanted to let you know so that you don't come home to any surprises," Clark said.

"You're not telling me the truth Clark, you said she got caught in the middle of it," Dave said.

"She's okay Dave, trust me, don't let this disrupt your good performance, she's okay," Clark said before ending the call.

"Clark! Clark!" Dave called before slowly turning his gaze to Norman. "Emma's not okay." He muttered.

"While we're waiting for the VAR results we have just gotten reports that Unique FC's goalkeeper, Dave Richard's house was involved in a robbery and his girlfriend Emma Smith is currently in the hospital," Jim said.

"That's Mateo Smith's older sister," Steve said.

"Emma?" Mateo said with a shocked expression on his face.
