Chapter 98 Episode 98
Elijah quickly assumed Camille was the mastermind from the previous night, the one who had taken Elizabeth to
that club.
He couldn’t help but attribute Elizabeth's recent behavior to Camille's influence, especially given Camille's
provocative outfit.
Choosing to disregard Camille, Elijah turned his focus back to Elizabeth and remarked, “Seeing the company you
keep, it’s no surprise your behavior has taken a turn for the worse!”
Elizabeth was accustomed to brushing off their veiled insults, but dragging Camille into this was a step too far.
Her tone dripped with sarcasm as she shot back, “Well, isn’t this funny? A cheating husband and his mistress are
lecturingon friendship and fashion.

“Elizabeth!” Elijah’s voice boomed across the room.
Quickly softening her voice, Sandra intervened.
“Please, Elijah, don’t be upset.
This is on me.
Let’s not argue over this.”
Unable to stand their presence any longer, Elizabeth's eyes shifted toward the doorway, longing for an escape
from their judgmental glares.
Camille, witnessing Elizabeth’s defiance, almost burst into applause but held herself back.
Instead, she confidently slid her credit card across the counter, declaring, “I'll take this dress.”
However, Elizabeth interrupted, casting a disdainful glance at Elijah before declining.
“No, thank you.
What a disaster—I actually picked the sawful dress as Ms.
Sandra.
What a mess! We should avoid repeating such a mistake.”
Her statement was a clear jab at Elijah, implying that marrying him was just as misguided.
Camille nodded in agreement, adding a biting remark, “Absolutely! With those white flowers? It’s obviously more
fitting for a manipulator pretending to be pure and innocent.”
The exchange of sharp words was brief, and Elijah stood firm, ready to counter any insults thrown his way.
“Don’t waste your breath trying to insult me—I’'m not interested.
Say whatever you want—I respect that, but I'm standing my ground, no matter what,” Elizabeth stated, her tone
resolute.
With those final words, she turned on her heel and headed toward the fitting room.

Witnessing Elijah being insulted by Elizabeth and her friend, Sandra’s worry about facing Elizabeth's wrath
diminished.
As Elizabeth's confidence grew, Elijah’s patience would surely wear thin, finding her increasingly intolerable.
When Elizabeth slipped back into her regular attire and ushered Camille away, Sandra feigned concern and
approached Elijah.
“Elijah, I'm sorry for causing trouble between you and Ms.
Elizabeth today.
Don’t worry about me.
Maybe you should follow her.
She may be strong-willed, but even the toughest need a little indulgence now and then.
A little extra attention from you might just ease the tension,” she suggested softly.
Elijah turned away, his expression detached and cold.
“You don’t need to concern yourself about her,” he responded, his voice icy, betraying no emotion.
