Chapter 11 Sandra hesitated mid-sip, her expression briefly clouded by confusion.
Albin leaned forward, his smile teasing.
“You left her all alone at hand went out with Sandra, huh? Don’t you think she might feel a bit left out?”
Known among their circle as a relationship expert, Albin had navigated the complexities of romance with
numerous partners, always armed with the right words to smooth things over.
With a casual flick of his hand, he suggested, “A little extra attention never hurts.
How about we swing by the mall after this? My family’s shop just got a limited-edition Hermes bag for the spring
collection.

I'm sure she’d love it.”
Kristopher, unaffected by Albin’s tactics, merely nodded toward Oliver, signaling him to continue.
“Go ahead.”
Oliver faltered before speaking again.
“Mrs.
Norris left behind a bank card—the one you gave her.”
Kristopher’s eyes dropped to his phone, his long eyelashes casting shadows that seemed to cool the air around
him.
He quickly accessed the bankinglinked to the card and scrolled through the transaction history.
The screen displayed a series of financial activities.
Two years ago, a withdrawal of two million had been made.
A year later, exactly on the sdate, the samount was deposited.
And shockingly, just a couple of hours earlier, a massive deposit of twenty million had been made.

This suggested that, aside from the original withdrawal, Carrie hadn't used any of the funds from the account he
provided.
Not only had she refunded the two million, but today she had added an additional twenty million to the account.
Kristopher furrowed his brow as he muttered, “Where in the world did she get that amount?”
He reflected on Carrie's daily activities, which mainly consisted of decorating their home, experimenting with
new recipes, or buying decorative items and clothing for him.
Although she had signed with an entertainment agency, she had attended just one audition before refusing
further engagements.
Kristopher had even asked Oliver to intervene at her agency to prevent severe fines for her lack of commitment.
