Chapter 311 Maggie thought for a moment, then stood up. "I'll tell you later. I need to step out and make a phone call first." With that, she politely greeted Professor Liam and the others, then turned and walked out of the private room with her phone in hand. Watching her retreating figure, Johnny finally cback to his senses. In an instant, his eyes widened in disbelief.

But after that event, there should've been no further contact between them. So how could- Hearing Johnny's words, Glen instinctively glanced over at Maggie. He didn't know who Jimmy was. But when he looked over and caught that fleeting trace of discomfort on her face, his gut immediately told him something was off.
Not to mention, Johnny's reaction only confirmed his suspicions So this Jimmy-he and Maggie, could it be that they- Franklin did know Jimmy. After hearing Johnny's comment, he casually glanced over at Maggie as well. Initially, he had planned to look away immediately after a cursory glance. But the moment he caught the subtle change in her expression, he paused, eyes following her thoughtfully as she left the room. Once Maggie exited the private room, she answered the call.
Just as she was about to speak, Jimmy's voice cthrough first. "I thought you weren't going to answer my calls anymore." Because of her good looks, Maggie had basically been confessed to by others ever since she was a teenager. She was no stranger to romantic advances from men. However, after getting married and having a child, her social circle shifted. On top of that, she'd never hidden her marital status at work. So over the past few years, very few people had confessed to her.
She and Jimmy could be considered half-friends. But given that she wasnt officially divorced from Franklin yet, his recent ---- confession-and now this call-did make her feel a little awkward.
