Of the five of them, only Bullman was a danger to me, and with it gone, I have no fear against these three. I will kill them before I think about opening that giant bronze door.
Currently, The Bullman and the Frogman are walking down the stairs; I could not see anything other than the stairs and the immense, dense death and metal energy that I might not be to bear with my current strength.
With each step, this energy seemed to be getting denser and denser, putting more and more pressure on the Frogman that crumbled against the stairs.
The Bullman seemed to expect it and took out a pure white crystal with an unwilling expression and placed it on the chest of the Frogman. Pure white energy covered him, and he was finally able to breathe easily and walk again.
I watched them for a few more seconds before they turned into three Grimm Monsters; with Nero gone, I could not see them, but I could still sense their general direction faintly.
Nero had few of my seeds, and he had placed them inside the Grimm; even the old wily Foxman had been not spared by them. My own seeds are not capable of tracking through the powerful restrictions of this place, but Nero added their own energy to them; they were able to hold against the powerful restrictions.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtI am going to kill these bastards; no matter what tricks they hold; with Ashlyn and me working together, there is no chance I will let any of them escape.
While these powerful restrictions are frustrating, they also are very good. The beacon would not work here; a beacon would need to be extremely powerful to pull through them out of this place, Nero checked their beacons, and I do not be worried about them running away.
There are about two miles of distance between us, and to reach them, I would have to break through at least ten rooms.
Which are a lot and will take a lot of time, but that is fine. My speed of breaking the formation is much faster than theirs, and most importantly, they do not know I am coming for them.
I looked at the rooms in the direction of the Grimms and chose to break through the one which contained the most precious resource. While my target is the Grimms, I should not forget about taking the benefits on the way.
It is fine as long as it does not delay me.
I scanned the formation of the room before starting to break them; this time, not only my avatar is breaking it, but so was I; both of us were working on it together.
I had not done it before as I thought it would not be efficient as working on two formations separately, but now I have no time to think about efficiency, and if working together, I can be quicker by a few minutes, I will do it.
Killing these three will give a major blow to the Grimm Monsters, especially the old Foxman. It is rune Grandmasters; even Grimms did not have many of such scholars.
Buzz Buzz Buzz!
Three hours passed, and I had crossed ten rooms, and now there were barely five hundred meters of distance between the Grimm Monsters and me.
I am breaking through the rooms at a much faster speed than I had expected. I would not need fifteen to twenty minutes to break the formation, a minute to set up, and another minute to collect the resources inside the room before walking out.
The speed at which I am breaking the formation is fast; I am taking nearly half the time as before to break each formation which is quite a shock to me as I had expected to save only four to five minutes at most with each formation.
I have been very wrong earlier, and I am happy to be proven wrong as now, my zeal to create a formation that would help me act independently in the core has become even greater.
Buzz!
I broke another formation and walked into the room; the door closed behind me, and others began to open while my strings collected the resources; by the time I had to the other side room toward the exit, my strings had already collected.
Step!
I stepped out of the room, and just as I did, I stopped in my tracks; the room right in front of me contained the ornese rock. The last resource that Grimms needs and also the least rare among the five.
The resource is pretty useless from what I have read and could only be in specific alchemical ingredients. The only thing that makes it precious is its rarity; it is extremely rare, now in front of me, occupying nearly half of the ruin.
I quickly copied the formation and began to solve it; it took me eighteen minutes to solve and about a minute to create the formation before projecting it onto the room.
Buzz!
The formation buzzed, and the wall separated, forming the door through which I walked inside.
Inside the room is a huge blue-grey rock; the rock is big as Grimm Monster and has no aura; one might even consider it a regular rock, and it even feels like a regular rock. The only way it could be identified is through the distinctive blue-grey patterns formed on it.
My strings moved and wrapped the whole ornese rock before it disappeared into my core, and I walked out of the room.
An hour passed, and the Grimms stopped; now, there was a distance of only one room between us, and they could see me as I could see them. Their blurry forms are standing just a few hundred meters from me, watching me with shock.
