Charging into my room, I could feel a wave of seething anger overflowing from Kurt as he shot his eyes towards me. "Where is he?"
"I beg your pardon?"
"That bastard Ar- Asura. Where is he?" He demanded furiously.
Rising from the lotus position, I narrowed my eyes and frowned. There was no injury on Kurt, not even a speck of dirt. It was safe to say there was no battle, but why does he think I would know?
"What happened?" I kindly asked, seeing his heart was clearly in disorder.
"Y-Y-You don't know, do you?" He cried, taking a couple of steps back defeatedly.
My confusion only grew, but I had figured this would happen when I learned of Arsene's involvement. Kurt was always a cautious person, but Arsene had the power to bring out the worse in anyone.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"He escaped. Asura allowed him to be free. The second, the angels attacked. We are at war. We need to leave this sect. I have no idea why my master had me return."
"An I am sure she told you about our mission." I coldly reminded, placing my hands behind my back, "This is our trial. We are to watch over Arsene and sabotage his every action. At least, that is phase one of our mission parameters."
"That damn monster cannot be controlled! when will you idiots understand that!" Howled Kurt grimly. Stomping his feet down, he growled, "Your all fools. All idiots thinking themselves superior. When will you realize that it's better to kill a monster than control them." Turning his back to me, he held onto the knob of the door. "We will die if we keep listening to the Masters. Their way will lead to the end of the Bed of Chaos."
"Kurt you!" I uttered, unable to believe what I was hearing. This was treason.
"Sorry for bothering you," He said, leaving without a moment's hesitation, closing the door on the way out.
Leaving me alone, a deep sigh raced from my lips. Kurt was clearly distraught and not thinking clearly. I hope to God he doesn't challenge Arsene or, worse, reveal his identity, but he is right about one thing. Remaining here is not the best idea.
The Holy Swords wishes to leave the Court of Nox, and once they do, we will be defenseless, inside enemy grounds. This sect has good ties with the Angels. It is definitely not worth staying, not when that terrifying declaration of war was announced eight months ago.
I hated this. I hated the position the Masters are placing us in. I know my Master is not in agreement, but many are furious at what happened to Vulron and Aiza.
"I need battle experience," I muttered grimly, taking a deep breath. I had not been on assignment in a hundred years, and I was at a cross rodes when it came to battle prowess. It will not be long before I become a full Lord, and I will finally be able to stand on par with my Master.
Taking leave of my guest room, I made my way down through the main halls of the Holy Swords, but my footsteps soon came to a halt as I gazed at a particular kind of bastard being escorted by several Mid Gods.
"What did you do?" I asked as he chuckled.
"Well, my master killed one of the Angels High Gods, and now it seems I am being blamed for some reason." He said, somewhat amused for some reason. "But it's good to see you, Cleo. Lovely as ever, wanna have dinner sometime? I was just recently in contact with Master Talos."
Amazed how he could speak so carelessly surrounded by seven Mid gods. I became a little panicked inside. Arsene was important to the Court of Nox. Especially in times like this. We could not let them kill him. At least not till I can defeat him. I, too, will be a lord soon.
"What is going on?" I suddenly announced, standing before the escort of mid-gods.
"So you truly wish for a date? Bet! Don't worry. I am the best chef you will ever meet. Literally an orgasm in your mouth? To give you an example. I have this anime you need to watch? I prefer the manga, but both with get my point across.'
"Shut up!" I cried, having no idea what this fool was talking about.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Then how will we arrange this date?" He confidently remarked as my eyes grew wide.
"What is wrong with you?"
"Booty! of course, my dear!" He solemnly declared.
Unable to stop my cheeks from growing red, I clenched my teeth, recalling that damn disgraceful moment between Yu Jing and me back on Alos.
"I'm sorry, Lady Cleo, but we have ordered. Asura may be in collusion with the known criminal Arsene Snow. Midgard is, after all, his territory." Said the solemn captain, narrowing his orange eyes towards me. "We have our orders. Now step aside."
Snorting at the tone, I placed my hands behind my back, "Fine, but if you are going to punish Mr. Bloodgrave for the transgression of the Master, then we of the Court of Nox will be willing to accept him into our group. Even if that means war."
"You get 'em, bae!" Arsene shouted out in the background smiling from ear to ear. "Tell him what you will do!"
Clenching my teeth at this idiot making my life harder, the Captain growled, "Then war it shall be."
"Fine," I coldly said, pulling out a communicator, "Destroy the Holy Swords; they are colluding with the angels to leave the Court of Nox. In my name as the First Disciple of the Lord of Death, Talos, I Cleo Fel Seyrum, declare war on the Holy Swords."
At my command, the entire land of the Holy Swords began to shake as the power of death washed over the void. Knowing my Master had heard my command, I was sure he was ready to wipe out this land.
Everyone turned pale, especially the captain. Sweat was racing down his brow like rain, and his legs were shaking. Peering up past the walls, an entire fleet of ships began to appear one after another.
"Shall we commence in discussions regarding the Holy Swords, involvement with the ones wishing to destroy the Bed of Chaos, or would you rather just hand Mr.. Bloodgrave over to me? If the Holy Swords will not treat him well, I am sure we can find a home that can.
