Chapter 90: Cleansed and Ready "Sean!"
the rapidly approaching truck.
Sophia screamed in terror, her eyes fixed on the rapidly. "Honey! Cback!"
Her voice trembled; her heart pounded in her chest.
Just as the truck was about to hit, Sean, pushing the wheelchair, narrowly avoided the collision. Seeing he was
unharmed, Sophia breathed a sigh of relief, her legs suddenly weak. She almost fell. In that moment, she fully
understood Sean's feelings on the rooftop, witnessing her dangling precariously over the edge.
Sean wheeled the elderly woman's son to the side of the road, handing him over to her. Sophia threw herself into
his arms, hitting his chest hard.
"You wouldn't letgo, so you went yourself!"
Sean hugged her, patting her back to comfort her.
"I was confident | could save him."
"One hundred percent confident?"
Sean kissed her forehead, smiling. "Just a tiny bit of risk."
Sophia bit his chin angrily. He bent down, letting her bite him. When she lost interest, he kissed her gently.
The son was safe, but the elderly woman wept even more fiercely, her cries heartbreaking. An elderly woman
caring for a son who was essentially a vegetable; her life must have been incredibly difficult and uncertain.
Sophia knelt down to comfort the woman, offering her smoney.
The woman refused, saying she needed to work for her living and couldn't accept charity. "Ms. Ella, you're a good
person."
The woman looked at Sean, her eyes filled with a mixture of confusion and wonder,
"Your husband is a good man, too."
Wiping her tears, the woman stood up, thanked Sophia and Sean, then wheeled her son away. The streetlights
stretched. their shadows long and thin, like ghostly figures. Sophia looked back to see Sean watching their
retreating figures, his expression thoughtful. "What's wrong?" she asked.
Sean asked, "Do they live around here?"
I don't know, but the woman often sells fruit at this intersection."
"Sells fruit?"
"Yeah. Is there a problem?"
Sean thought for a moment, then shook his head."Nothing. | don't think | know them." Neither of them had eaten
much, so back home, Sean made two bowls of seafood noodles.

Sophia was surprised Sean didn't make any advances. When she emerged from the bathroom, she found him
lying in bed, his soft hair partially covering his face, creating a subtly alluring image. "Didn't you say my body
belongs to you?" he said, a smirk playing on his lips.
"So?" Sophia raised an eyebrow.
Sean's eyes narrowed. "If you want it, cand get it."
Sophia blushed. He wanted her to make the first move?
"I... I'm not really in the mood."
"Oh, that's a shame. I've washed myself clean, and..."
"And?" Sophia swallowed nervously.
"And I'm completely naked."
Sophia pounced on him."You tempted me! Don't blme for being aggressive!" In the end, however, it was
Sophia who was begging for mercy.
The next day, Sophia woke up close to noon. She had important business to attend to, so she called Chloe,
arranging to meet outside Vivian's studio.
She quickly showered, got dressed, went downstairs, hastily ate the breakfast Sean prepared, and ran out the
door.
She noticed the gate to the villa across the street was open. Hadn't Jake already moved out? Was The back to
torment her?
Sophia took a breath, took a few steps towards the front gate, then, realizing the north gate was closer to
Vivian's studio, changed direction.
She hailed a taxi and, glancing out the window, saw Jake excitedly talking to someone-the elderly
woman.
As the car drove on, Sophia turned to look. Through the rear window, she saw Jake handing a wad of cash to the
elderly woman, who hurried into a nearby alley.
Back in her seat, Sophia pondered. Jake knew the elderly woman?
Why was he giving her money? Had she done something for him? Sophia met up with Chloe, who still looked
pale.
"Are you okay?"
Chloe nodded. "If | can act, keep busy, it's better than overthinking."
True."
Seeing Chloe's nervousness, Sophia whispered, "Don't worry. I'll make sure you get the role." Chloe looked
doubtful." What if | do badly?"
"Even if you act like a log, you'll get
it."
Vivian needed Sophia's approval to rent the Reynolds family island, and Sophia's condition was that Vivian give
Chloe a role. No need for explicit statements; everyone was smart enough to understand. seed and Ready
