Lina turned to look at Renee. “Renee, I didn’t grow up with your uncle and aunt. We’re practically strangers to each
other.”
“Lina…” Renee held onto her arm and leaned against her.
Lina forced a bitter smile. These past few days, she even felt a bit depressed, wondering if she wouldn’t have ended
up in this predicament if she weren’t the daughter of Nicholas and Linda.

Lina smiled. Forget touching. Renee could even try it on if she wanted to. She suddenly recalled the scene when Gia
saw Zuko gifting her the family heirloom bangle and wanted to try it on. She had rejected her request, citing that it
was a family heirloom.
Now, with Renee wanting to hold her necklace, she didn’t have as many excuses at all.
