There was a look of shock on Jocleyn’s face. “How is that possible? When did this happen? Does Yuni

not care about the audio recording that I have?”

Lexie cried desperately. Jocelyn had never seen her so upset before.

She looked at Jocelyn and started crying even harder. “Why does she have to care about that? They’re

already together. If I tell Davis then I like him right now, do you think they will break up? I’ll just be putting

myself in a more difficult position. Yuni must have guessed that this would happen!” Lexie hugged

Jocelyn and cried out loud, “Jocelyn, what should I do? I’ve liked him for almost seven years. It’s been

seven years. How can I let go of him? I can still comfort myself when he didn’t have a girlfriend back

then. I can’t even comfort myself right now. Am I way too weak? Am I being a coward for not daring to

confess my feelings to him? Is that why someone else got together with him first? I’m such a fool, right?”

This news was way too sudden. Lexie cried in devastation. Jocelyn felt rather panicked. “Xixi, don’t cry.

Tell me everything first. What happened? How do you know that both of them got together?”

Lexie tried her best to stop crying. She then told Jocelyn everything that had happened in a disorderly

manner

Jocelyn made a vague inference about what happened.

Yesterday night, Davis had attended the alumni gathering as well. However, he was at the buffet held in

the conference hall on the top floor of the hotel.

He had disappeared for three years after his graduation. His ex-roommates made him drink a lot.

Yuni happened to call Davis just after he got drunk.

His ex-roommates thought that Yuni was his girlfriend, so they asked her to fetch Davis. After that,

everything took its course naturally. They headed to the room that Davis’s ex-roommates had prepared

for him in Quintus Hotel. It was unclear if Yuhi had taken advantage of Davis or if things just led to

another as they were intoxicated.

Davis was a responsible man. When he saw the red marks on the mattress in the morning, he asked

Yuni to be his girlfriend.

Lexie went to the office early. There were not many people in the office. She then caught sight of Davis

and Yuni kissing in the design department.

Back then, Lexie had felt extremely distraught and defeated. After that, Yuni started acting more

haughtily. She taunted Lexie with her new status and even spoke to Lexie in an arrogant and mocking

tone. she told Lexie that she thought that it was extremely difficult to pursue Davis! Davis was a pure-

hearted man. They had just slept together once, and he immediately took responsibility for his own

actions! What an easy man!

Lexie had pursued Davis for such a long time, and yet she still did not dare to say anything to him. How

Actually, the way Davis treated her directly affected her decisions and feelings for Davis.

Although one had good self-judgment regarding their own relationships, Jocelyn did not look upon

Lexie’s crush on Davis favorably.

Jocelyn was about to say something when her phone rang.

The call was from Abel. Jocelyn was deciding whether to pick up the call or not.

Lexie let go of Jocelyn and whimpered, “You should pick up your phone!”

Jocelyn pursed her lips and accepted the call. “Hello, Lil Sis, you’re back in Mauve City, right?” Jocelyn

nodded and said, “Yes, I’m back!” Abel raised his brow and said, “Why do you sound rather down? Did

anything happen?”

Jocelyn shook her head and said, “Nope, are you alright?” Abel went straight to the point.

“Congratulations on winning an award in the Ocean Heart Jewelry Competition! Let me remind you of

something. Did you forget that you promised to treat me to a meal after the competition?” Jocelyn

glanced at Lexie, pursed her lips, and said, “I didn’t forget. However, I might not be free nowadays!”

Abel was slightly stunned. He said in a disappointed tone, “I see, we can talk about having a meal

together later on. However, I opened a bar. It’ll be launching tonight. I wanted to invite you over so that

we could have fun!”

Jocelyn rejected his offer without even thinking twice. “Congratulations on the launch of your

bar! However, I really don’t have the time. I won’t be coming over tonight!” As soon as she finished

speaking, Lexie looked at her. Her face was stained with tears. “Go ahead! I’ll come with you! I feel like

drinking!” Jocelyn was stunned. She then said, “In that case, I’ll come over tonight. My friend isn’t in a

good mood. I can drink with her tonight!”

Abel’s mood instantly brightened up. He nodded and said, “Alright, I’ll wait for you guys. I’ll send the

address over to you in a bit!”

Jocelyn nodded and hung up on the phone. She then glanced at Lexie instinctively. Lexie had already

stopped crying. “Jocelyn, I’m fine now. Don’t worry!”

How could Jocelyn believe what she said? She said, “Alright, you should go wash your face first. I’ll bring

you out to have fun tonight. If you can’t bring yourself to work today, take a day off!”

Lexie shook her head in dismay. “It’s alright, something like this… Anyways, it won’t kill

me!”

Jocelyn wanted to say something, but she could not bring herself to say anything. She did not know what

she should say.

She accompanied Lexie to the washroom and washed her hands. Finally, she could not resist telling her,

“Xixi, keep an open mind. Things that are meant to be with you can’t be snatched away by anyone else.

Things that don’t belong to you will never stay by your side even if you chain them to yourself!” Lexie was

still extremely down. “I got it!”

After sending Lexie to the IT department, Jocelyn returned to the design department. Jocelyn returned to

the design department. She noticed that Abel had sent over an address. When she clicked into her

notifications, she realized that someone had requested to follow her on Instagram.

The account’s profile picture was black in color, and its display name was a full stop. It was as simple as

it could get. Jocelyn felt extremely frustrated. She declined the request without giving it much thought.

She did not expect that account to request to follow her again as soon as she declined their previous

request. Jocelyn could not resist frowning. She declined that account’s follow request at once. That

person seemed to finally give up this time around. Jocelyn picked up her design draft and intended to

start sketching her draft.

However, she received another follow request.

This time, she received a message along with the request. “This is Skyler Moore.”
