Chapter 625 "You two talk. I'll go greet your family," Ellie said, leaving the room to give them privacy.

It had been nearly six months since Linda agreed to be Orion's 24-hour private nurse. In that time, she had been hurt by him countless times, often crying and saying she couldn't do it anymore. But she always stayed. Mark hadn't chosen wrong.

Linda's warm, sunny personality and her professional expertise had not only helped Orion's physical wounds heal quickly but had also mended his emotional scars. Orion's recovery was as much Linda's achievement as it was his own.

"Orion, this is amazing! Your face is finally healed!" Linda's voice trembled with emotion. Orion reached out, and Linda quickly took his hand, guiding him.

"Thank you, Linda," Orion said, standing up from his wheelchair and gently embracing her. "My eyes still need tto heal, so I'll need your help a little longer." "Orion, it's my job. You don't have to thank me," Linda said, tears streaming down her face.

Hearing movement at the door, Orion released her and sat back in his wheelchair. Linda wiped her tears, draped a blanket over his legs, and wheeled him out to the reception area.

"Orion!" Nancy rushed in, tears streaming down her face as she saw Orion alive and well. She threw her arms around him, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Orion, is it really you?" Todd touched his son's face, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Mom, Dad, I'm so sorry!" Orion knelt before his parents; his voice choked with emotion. The reception area was filled with the sound of a family reunited, crying together.

"Mom, this is a happy occasion. Don't cry too much; you'll make yourself sick,” Alex said, his eyes red as he helped his parents up. Ellie and Linda stepped in to assist.

"We'll give you sprivacy," Ellie said, leading Linda out of the room so the Warrens could talk.

"Dr. Thompson, I'm so envious of Orion," Linda said, her tears still flowing as they stepped into the hallway. Ellie looked at Linda, her heart aching for Linda. Linda was an orphan, with no family to call her own.

"Linda, we're your family now. You can think ofas your sister. If you ever need anything, just ask me," Ellie said softly.

Linda laughed through her tears. “I'm just not used to emotional moments like this. I'm fine on my own, really. I'm used to it." Tears still streaming down her face, Linda managed to force a smile at Ellie.

Ellie felt a pang of helplessness, unsure of how to comfort the kind-hearted girl standing before her. Gently, she took Linda's hand and led her to the window, where they both looked out at the bustling cityscape of Jaslands.

"Linda, one day you'll find love, have children, and build your own family. Keep hoping for a brighter tomorrow," Ellie said.

Linda turned to Ellie. "Dr. Thompson, do you still believe in love?" Ellie stared out the window, unable to answer.

"Ellie." Alex's voice broke the silence.

Ellie turned to see Alex and his parents exiting the room. She and Linda approached. "I'll go check on Orion," Linda said, hurrying back into the room.

Seeing Linda trot into the ward, Nancy turned to Ellie. "Dr. Thompson, was that the nurse taking care of Orion?"

"Linda isn't just Orion's nurse. She's also his therapist, his friend, and m she's been taking care of him since he returned. She's been there for him every step of the way," Ellie explained, hoping to give Linda the recognition she deserved. 1/2 05:50 Tue, 4 Mar Chapter 625 (12)

"No wonder Orion kept looking for her. Thank you, Dr. Thompson,” om Nancy said, tears welling up again as said, tears she glanced back at the room. "Dr.

Thompson, can I speak with you privately?"

Nancy looked at Ellie hesitantly. Ellie glanced at Alex, who gave her a nod. “Mom, Ellie's agreed,” Alex said, gently pushing Ellie toward his mother. 2/2
