As Chandler spoke, Roman kept his gaze focused on Erin’s eyes, trying his best to decipher what she wanted. At that moment, Erin’s lace had turned pale, but her eyes could barely contain her excitement, and she burst into tears in just a few seconds.

Five minutes later, Roman drove his new black Range Rover out of the garage and saw Erin standing not far away. She quickly walked toward him and upon reaching the front of his car, she opened the door to the passenger seat and got in.
“Are you sure?” Roman asked.
The current Erin was completely different from the person who had silently cried in the guest room earlier. She smiled and said, “I’m sure. She’s just my ex–boyfriend’s current wife, not Hades or the grim reaper. I was close to death twice, so there’s nothing that can scare me
anymore.”
