First Love 24
Chapter 24
Angela gritted her teeth and stepped aside.
Dexter propped himself using the bed. He stood up slowly and walked over to the wooden. cabinet. Then, he
opened it and pulled out her livestream setup and phone.
Angela's expression turned icy. "Dexter, don't you dare go so far as to take away my livelihood!"
“Take away your livelihood? Ha! Is that something that should even cout of your mouth?” he snarled as
though he wanted to tear her apart.
"You're Mrs. Bamford! Yet, you go online to make money by exposing yourself! Don't you feel ashamed? |, for
one, am utterly mortified!"
"What's there to be embarrassed about? | didn't even show my face! I'm making money with my own two hands.
It's not like | stole or obtained it illegally. Why can't | make money this way?” Angela retorted frigidly, her
rebellious side kicking in.
“Does the Bamford family not provide for you well enough? Do you really need to stoop to something as cheap

With a loud crash, Angela's equipment shattered. Her phone's screen splintered into cracks that resembled a
spider's web.
Angela rushed over and picked up the phone. She had bought it less than a month her earnings from her
livestreams.

“Are you crazy? You'd better pay for that!" she snapped, her face flushed with anger.
Dexter was angrier still. "This is my last warning. Cease your flashy stunts. Stay home, and maybe I'll-" "Shut
up!" Angela screamed.
Tears welled up in her eyes and spilled over as she clenched her broken phone.
Why? Why did Dexter get to control everything? Why did she have to obey him? Why couldn't she pursue what
she loved?
“You're a sick bastard, Dexter!” Angela lowered her head, clutching her phone as
streamed down her face.

She had been living at Bamford Estate for years, but she had barely had any freedom over her finances. This
phone was the first thing she had bought for herself with the money she
had earned through her own hard work.
Dexter was stunned by her reaction.
Chapter 24
It
s just a phone that cost a few thousand dollars at most. Why was she so upset?
If she truly hated him, why would she keep playing these little tricks to attract his- attention? Yet, when he saw
her crying so brokenly with tears streaming down her cheeks freely, he felt a strange pang of guilt.
“Angela, the Bamford family has a reputation to maintain. You were livestreaming our residence, and some
people have already figured out that it is Bamford Estate. If people find out that my wife is making money
through livestreams, where does that leave me?"
For the first time, Dexter forced down his anger and tried to reason with her with a considerably softened tone.
“Oh, so now you care about your image? If people knew what a miserable life this so-called Mrs. Bamford leads,
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmthat would truly deal a blow to your precious reputation!" Angela shot back.
With a wry smile, she gathered her things and turned to leave.
"Stop!" Dexter shouted, grabbing her wrist. "What the hell do you want, Angela?”
"Letgo!" She yanked herself free and walked over to the table. She grabbed one of her drawings, crumpled
it, and threw it at his feet.
Then, she fumed, “The Bamford family is all high and mighty-I clearly don't belong here. From now on, we'll live
separate lives. As your mother suggested, I'll move into the maids' quarters and only play the trophy wife role
when we're required to go to Bamford Manor."
With that, Angela stormed out and immediately told Donna to help move Talia Moore, another maid who stayed
with Donna, to a different room. She, on the other hand, would be staying with Donna from then on.
