670 He Might Need Some Help
Bai Xi Xi left the residence after having a little talk with Fu Chen. Although the man did not tell her the whole story, at least, Bai Xi Xi could understand him a little bit more.
Thinking of how he had to miss school to look after his younger sibling made her pity him a little bit.
However, Fu Chen had assured her that things will get better for them.
It hasn’t been a long time since he and his siblings followed his mother to Y City. Their move was a little too sudden and unplanned. It was all because of his younger aunt and the little children that they made this sudden decision.
Therefore, there were a lot of things that they did not get to prepare.
Fu Chen had assured Bai Xi Xi that in a few days, his mother will hire the help they need. Then, he did not have to worry about his younger siblings that much and everyone will be able to attend school as usual.
Hearing his words made her feel a little at ease.
She recalled the look on Fu Chen’s face when she found him surrounded by the kids in the kitchen. The boy looked very helpless and stressed.

.....
Bai Xi Xi was a little curious about the other adults in Fu Chen’s family. However, she decided not to poke into Fu Chen’s family matter. Perhaps she will know about them later. Perhaps she won’t.
When Bai Xi Xi arrived home, her sister-in-law was already back from work. She walked into the living room only to see her sister-in-law teasing Bai Jing Jing.
The little girl had a bright smile on as she was showing her mother the drawing she made earlier.
According to Bai Jing Jing, she was drawing a little cat. However, Bai Xi Xi only saw some strange scribble. Still, her sister-in-law was praising Bai Jing Jing’s drawing.
Zhang Li Xue raised her head when she noticed Bai Xi Xi walking into the house. She flashed the teenage girl a smile and spoke, “You’re back.”
Bai Jing Jing followed her mother’s line of gaze. Then, the light in her eyes lit up. “Aunt!” She left her mother’s side and went over to her aunt’s side. Bai Jing Jing showed her drawing and smiled.
“You’re a little late today,” Zhang Li Xue said. “Something happened at school?” Earlier, she had already heard from the auntie that Bai Xi Xi will be a bit late. However, the auntie did not know the reason.
“Hmm...” Bai Xi Xi carried the little girl in her arms and let her sit on her lap. “I was delivering some notes to a classmate.”
It was then that Zhang Li Xue felt a little more at ease. “Alright. You can go to your room and get changed. Later, we will have dinner together.”
Bai Xi Xi swept her gaze around the house and spoke, “Is my brother not at home?”
Zhang Li Xue smiled. “He called to say that there’s an emergency at work. He will come back once he’s done with work.”
Bai Xi Xi nodded. After teasing Bai Jing Jing for a little while, she then went back to her room to take a quick shower and changed her clothes.
When she entered the dining room, her niece and nephews were already seated around the table, waiting for her.
Bai Xiang raised his head and whispered, “Aunt, are you busy? How about helping me with my homework? There are a few things that I don’t understand.”
Zhang Li Xue overheard his words and spoke, “Let’s not disturb your aunt. She will have a test soon. Bai Xiang, show your homework to me. I will help you.”
Bai Xi Xi sat at the side while watching her sister-in-law talk to her children about their studies.
Suddenly, Bai Xi Xi could not help but wonder about Fu Chen.
According to him, his mother was busy looking after his younger aunt. Even if there his mother will hire some help to manage the house, without the presence of an adult, how would Fu Chen be able to study?
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThose kids would also need his attention, right? Fu Ying was around Bai Xiang’s age. Surely she too would look for Fu Chen when she needs help with her homework, right?
Bai Xi Xi felt that Fu Chen was too pitiful and he might need some help.
Suddenly, she recalled that Fu Chen had borrowed her notes not too long ago and found that they were quite helpful. Should she continue to let him offer her notes to him?
...
Fu Chen finally showed up at school again the next week.
When Bai Xi Xi walked into the classroom, Fu Chen was lying on his desk, seemingly asleep. There were a few girls who wanted to talk to him. However, seeing that he was asleep, they decided not to disturb him.
Bai Xi Xi walked to her table at the back of the class and stood in front of Fu Chen.
The boy had half of his head covered. Her gaze fell on the mole under his eyes before she quickly looked away.
Bai Xi Xi walked over to her side of the table and placed her bag cautiously. Seeing that Fu Chen was asleep made her wonder if the boy was tired from looking after his siblings.
But, seeing that he had appeared at school, it should mean that his mother had already hired the help they need, right?
She pulled her chair carefully, afraid that the slight noise will disturb his sleep. She thought that it would be better for Fu Chen to get all the rest he needed before class would start.
Bai Xi Xi took out her book and started to read them silently.
After a while, she subconsciously shifted her gaze to Fu Chen briefly. Seeing that the sunlight touched his body, Bai Xi Xi leaned forward and let her book block the sunlight from him.
Just like that, she continued to read her book while Fu Chen was sleeping beside her.
