Chapter 73:.
In fact, Tristan and his grandmother were no strangers to each other. They had known each other for a long time,
even though they were not blood relatives.
Grace never expected that, after so many years, the person she hadn't seen would suddenly appear in her
hospital room. She excitedly got out of bed and walked over to Tristan.
“Tristan?”
Grandma ccloser. She watched his face closely and stroked his arm with a smile. “Wow, you cto see me
after all these years! | thought you had forgotten about me. But you're here today.” She pretended to be angry
and slapped his shoulder twice to vent her frustration.
After all, when Tristan left X-City, he had told no one, not even the Richard family. They only found out that he
had gone abroad after hearing about it from one of his friends.
Instead of getting defensive, Tristan laughed and quietly admitted his mistake. “Grandma, please forgive me; |
know | was wrong!”.
Grace was never the type to get really angry. Back then, when Tristan was away, she often asked Stella where he

“You brat! You say you know you're wrong, but | don’t think you really understand,” Grace scolded him, though
her tone was light.
“It’s been so long since you've cto see me. | thought you'd forgotten all about me. hmph! If you don’t come
again in the future, it won't be that you've forgotten about me, but that I'll forget about you!”
And she sat on the couch, pretending to ignore him.
Tristan let out a chuckle and followed her to the couch. His smile was faint, but if you looked closely, his eyes
were warm and kind. He looked like a ray of sunshine, making people feel at ease just by being himself.
He placed the items he had purchased on the table next to the bed and said with a gentle smile, “Grandma, |
wasn't sure what you needed, so | bought ssupplements downstairs. | hope they will be useful to you.”
After dropping off the bags, Tristan went to pour himself two cups of hot water. He gave one to his grandmother
with the courtesy of a child showing respect. The other cup he gave to Stella, who was nearby.

“It’s cold outside. Drink shot water to warm up,” he said gently.
His tone was still very soft. To someone who didn’t know them, they might seem like a loving couple. In fact,
Tristan had always been like that. He was considerate and kind.
Stella had accepted his kindness for years, but since he had married, everything had changed. She was young
then and, having grown up together in the Richard family, it had seemed natural to him to care for her like an
older brother.
But now, their relationship was not the sas before. In fact, they were becoming more and more distant from
each other. The nicer he treated her, the more uncomfortable she felt. It wasn't as natural as before.
Just like this time, when Tristan wanted to buy supplements for his grandmother, she had refused to accept
them. After all, things were no longer the sbetween them.
Grace watched them in silence. She had a good impression of Tristan. When Stella was still living with the
Richard family, she often mentioned how well Tristan took care of her.
Grace had always been grateful to him. After all, her granddaughter had grown up in the Richard family for so
many years, and Tristan was the only one who really treated her well.
“Tristan, you don’t need to buy so many things next tyou visit. | already have plenty here,” Grandma said,
patting the seat next to him to sit down. She smiled warmly. “I'm glad you cto see me. Cover here and
sit with me. Letsee how much you've changed.”

“How many years has it been? Almost ten, right? It's been so long since I've seen my Tristan.”
Grandma looked Tristan over from head to toe, clearly pleased. “You're getting more and more handsome! Let's
see... You're already over thirty, aren't you?”.
“Yes,” Tristan nodded slightly. He then gently took Stella’s hand, guiding her to sit next to him. The small gesture
could easily be misinterpreted, but it seemed a simple courtesy, simply asking her to sit down.
Stella sat down without saying anything. From that point on, the conversation seemed to focus on Tristan.
Grandma's attention was fully focused on him.
“Tristan, do you have a girlfriend yet? You're already in your thirties, you should get married soon! Don’t be like
Stella; she’s almost thirty and hasn't married!”
Sitting next to her, Stella felt as if she was being criticized out of the blue. It seemed that her grandmother
valued her marriage prospects above all else. She couldn't help but worry that Stella was not yet married.
Tristan smiled, looking at Stella out of the corner of his eye. His gaze was very light and calm. However, it was
hard to guess what she was thinking. He only replied quietly, “Not yet.”
“You still don’t have a girlfriend?”
Grandma was surprised. “Tristan, you are so excellent! How cyou don’t have a girlfriend? I'll introduce you
to someone later.”
