Chapter 241:

“Your foot is injured?”

Sophia's eyes gleamed with ill intentions as she stared at Stella's foot.

“What are you going to do?”

Stella asked cautiously, quickly pulling the blanket over her right foot to protect it. She didn’t want to be hurt any

further!

Without a second thought, Sophia turned her attention to Stella's injured ankle.

This time, she swung her bag and smashed it directly onto Stella's already swollen ankle.

The pain intensified, and the swelling grew worse.

Stella let out a cry of pain. “Sophia! You're crazy! Stop it!” she yelled.

“If you have the guts, go and tell RK you want him to divorce me! Why are you taking it out on me?”

Damn it! How had she ended up stuck with Sophia, of all people? And it just had to be when her foot was injured!

Stella was in so much pain that she could hardly defend herself. It wasn’t as if she had wanted to marry RK in the

first place; David had forced her into it. Otherwise, she never would have agreed to marry a man she barely

knew!

If RK had rejected the marriage, none of this would have happened. But in the end...

If a man didn’t want to marry a woman, the marriage simply wouldn't happen.

But here they were, and Sophia was furious.

Shon you!”

Sophia was so enraged that she lashed out, swinging her bag at Stella as if venting all her pent-up anger.

Stella grabbed whatever was within reach—spoons, forks—and threw them at Sophia, trying to fend her off.

“Help! Somebody, help!” she screamed.

Just as Sophia prepared to strike again, a voice called out from outside the room.

“What's going on?”

The butler had been downstairs when he heard the commotion. He quickly gathered a group of servants and

rushed upstairs to check on the situation.

The old butler was the first to open the door and was shocked by the chaotic scene inside the room.

“Miss... Miss Richard, please calm down!” he said, hurrying to pull Sophia away.

A few other servants joined in, stopping Sophia from doing any further harm. “Miss Richard, let's talk about this

calmly. Don’t do anything rash... Miss Stella’s foot is injured,” the butler urged.

Stella was speechless.

Of course her foot was injured! That was exactly why this woman had gone crazy and attacked her with the bag!

She felt incredibly unlucky to be dealing with someone like Sophia.

The butler, along with the servants, finally managed to lead an unwilling Sophia out of the bedroom.

The room quieted down, leaving only Stella and a few concerned servants.

The remaining servants looked at Stella’s swollen foot with worry.

Her ankle, already red and swollen, now had a small cut, with tiny droplets of blood oozing out.

What's more, the swelling had worsened.

“Miss Richard, shall I call Mr. Kingston's private doctor to ccheck on you?” one of the servants suggested.

Stella didn’t refuse; she simply nodded in agreement.

After the chaos, she felt like her life was a mess.

At that moment, she couldn't help but reflect. If she hadn't been forced into this marriage, she wouldn't have

found herself in this situation. She wouldn't be stuck in this never-ending conflict with Tristan and the Richard

family.

Yet, here she was.

David had always said, “When a girl marries, she can’t return to her home. People will gossip about her!”

It sounded like he was being considerate, but in truth...

There was probably more to it.

For a long time, David had been unwilling to let Stella stay in the Richard family. To be honest, most of it had to

do with Sophia and Isabella.

Living with them, Stella had always felt like an outsider.

If it hadn't been for Tristan taking care of her over the years, who knows if she would have even survived? Sophia

might have eliminated her long ago.

The relationship between Stella and Sophia had been terrible for years.

The Richard family had once been Stella’s home, the hshe shared with her mother. But when Stella was too

young to remember, Isabella and Sophia had entered the picture, and for as long as she could recall, they had

always been there.

As for Stella, though it was her home, it always felt like someone else's. In the end, she was the one who had

been pushed out.

Stella smiled bitterly.

Sometimes, she couldn't help but feel sad and pitiful about her situation.
