Chapter 965: Claudia Makes Her Move The Mountain Veil Order had arrived. Nathan led his team and broke through the black-clad attackers.

The remaining enemies were left to the brothers from Serenity Ridge.

Not far away, the sky suddenly darkened. Another wave of black-clad figures emerged, but this ttheir target was singular-Tina.

The Mountain Veil Order formed a defensive stance, prepared for both attack and retreat.

Tina, however, kept her gaze fixed on the dark mass. Somewhere within it was the one she was seeking.

A surge of energy materialized in the air, aiming straight for her.

Jared, sensing the danger, wrapped an arm around Tina's waist and effortlessly pulled her out of harm's way.

In the next instant, two figures-one in red, the other in black-arrived like phantoms, standing in front of Tina. The woman in red was alluring, her face veiled. But Tina recognized her instantly.

"Claudia!" Tina's voice was resolute, leaving no room for denial.

The woman chuckled lightly, her tone seductive. "Tina, we finally meet." Tina sneered. "Haven't we met before?" Claudia didn't answer. Instead, she pointed her blood-red nails toward the black-clad figures and issued a command: "Her abilities are below yours. Restrain her. I want her to watch the man she loves die before her eyes." The order was barely given when an attack was launched at Jared.

Hearing this, Tina's expression darkened. She had guessed correctly-Claudia had always been after Uncle. The black-clad figure obeyed, raising a hand and striking fiercely at Tina.

Tina blocked the attack effortlessly. The energy in the black-clad figure's palm dispersed into nothingness. The figure staggered back, shocked. A raspy voice emerged from behind the mask. "Your ability is above the fifth tier?" Tina smirked. "Fifth tier? That was six months ago." Cooped up at hwith nothing to do, she had long since broken through to the seventh tier.

A mere fifth-tier ability user wasn't even worth her attention.

Besides, from the moment she had received that message, she had prepared Soulbane. Everyone had taken a dose.

Who would win or lose today remained uncertain.

The black-clad figure didn't believe her and attacked again. But halfway through, Tina annihilated the energy with a single strike.

She followed up with a full-force attack from her seventh-tier abilities.

The figure couldn't dodge in tand was sent flying five meters, coughing up blood uncontrollably.

Tina didn't spare him another glance.

Someone who coughed blood from a single strike wasn't worth her time.

Meanwhile, Jared and Claudia were locked in an intense battle.

Tina turned her full attention to the opponent she had been hunting for so long.

To be fair, anyone who could fight Uncle-a near tenth-tier ability user-to a standstill was undeniably powerful. But Claudia was a cancer.

Otherwise, Tina might have been interested in bringing her back to the lab to study alongside Wraith.

The surrounding energy waves suddenly intensified. Tina narrowed her eyes and quickly moved to Jared's side, intending to join forces against Claudia.

The red-clad woman's robes billowed as she moved gracefully, her hand tracing an arc in the air. Her gaze swept over the two of them, her tone dripping with disdain.

"Fools." "Tina, watch out!" Jared pulled Tina aside just in tto avoid a deadly attack. But Tina could feel the impact of the energy reverberating through her organs.

She frowned. "Soulbane has failed." "It's likely because she's broken through to the tenth tier," Jared said, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. His handsface darkened.

Today was supposed to be his wedding day. For someone to cause trouble now was a death wish.

A flicker of excitement flashed in Tina's eyes. "Uncle, do you remember the moves we practiced before?" Jared's gaze sharpened as he quickly understood Tina's intention. He was a tenth-tier ability user, but against someone like Claudia, a battle of attrition was inevitable.

With Tina's help, however, the tneeded to defeat her would be significantly reduced.

No matter what, he was determined to finish his wedding with Tina. Bombs, fire, or a sea of blades wouldn't stop him.

Tina smirked. "Uncle, it's been a while since we fought together." Hearing this, Claudia sneered without hesitation.

"You think the two of you can stop me? Neither of you is leaving here alive." Tina ignored her. Her eyes darkened as she flicked her fingers, sending several silver needles flying.

Claudia scoffed, easily dodging them with a slight tilt of her head. She found Tina's tricks laughable.

"Child's play." Without wasting another second, Claudia struck at Jared, her tone filled with arrogance.

"Only by killing you can I enjoy the feast the heavens have granted me." Jared's gaze turned cold, a bloodthirsty aura radiating from him.

Even against Claudia, he didn't retreat an inch. "A dull-witted fool like you-how much of a chance do you think you really have?" Claudia's expression twisted for a moment before she quickly masked it, her attacks growing even more vicious. Clearly, Jared's words had hit a nerve.

"So what? Once you're dead, your abilities will be mine." For years, Claudia had relied on absorbing others' abilities to advance. Without this method, she never would have been able to step onto the path of cultivation.

But what did it matter? As long as she killed enough ability users, their powers would bechers.

After several exchanges, Claudia began to sense something was wrong.

Despite Jared's tenth-tier abilities, he remained on the defensive. And with Tina's seventh-tier support, the two managed to hold their own against her.

Her subordinates were quickly being wiped out. If this continued, she would lose her advantage. Realizing Tina was stalling for tto gather reinforcements, Claudia's eyes flashed with murderous intent. She decided to end things quickly. But just as she struck, she felt a sharp pain in her chest. Blood spurted from her lips, and her body froze in place.

Her wide eyes filled with disbelief as she stared at Tina.

"How... how is this possible?"

Tina smirked. "I developed a poison specifically for you. Colorless m tasteless, and capable of rendering ability users powerless. Especially someone like you." Claudia bit her lip hard. "When did you..." "While you were scoffing at my 'child's play' needles, the poison was already in your system. The only variable was how long it would take to activate."

Tina glanced at her watch and gave an honest assessment. "Not bad, you lasted six minutes. "Claudia tried to break free but realized the poison wasn't lethal. This surprised her. "You don't wantdead?" "Alive is more challenging, isn't it?" Tina replied coolly.

If Claudia were dead, all the tTina had spent hunting her would have been for nothing. She wanted to unravel every secret Claudia held before handing her over to Wraith.

The lab always needed new research material.

Someone as powerful as Claudia would make Wraith bow in gratitude.

No matter her tenth-tier abilities, with Uncle's strength and Tina's custom-designed poison, Claudia had no choice but to submit.

Tina tightened her grip on Claudia's throat, her tone icy.

"Tell me-why did you target Uncle? What are you trying to get from him?"
