Chapter 893
Christine rolled her eyes at him.
Yet Dailey's eyes sparkled with a deep amusement.
"You stay here and have fun. | have serrands to run, but we'll go to the party together tonight."
Christine couldn't wait for him to disappear, so she waved him off.
Dailey patted her head gently and strode away.
A young girl nearby teased with a grin, "You and your boyfriend seem really close."
Christine wanted to explain but decided it wasn't worth the effort. Maybe she wouldn't return to this place again.
And if she did, there would be tto clear things up the next taround.
Instead, she smiled and asked, "Could you teachembroidery?"
The girl eagerly agreed.
Embroidery required a lot of focus and time, and Christine spent the entire day at it, except for breaks to eat or
use the restroom. She learned a stitch and even completed a small piece. As she stood to stretch her stiff back
and neck, she saw Dailey approaching.
"Did you have fun?" he asked.
Christine tossed the item she was holding to him, saying offhandedly, "Your birthday present, as a thank you for

With that, she hurried off to change her clothes.
Dailey looked at the handkerchief in his hands. It was embroidered with bamboo and his nstitched in one
corner.
"Handsguy," the young girl giggled, "giving a handkerchief is a token of affection, you know."
Dailey tucked it away, smiled warmly at her, and asked, "Did she make it herself?" The girl nodded, "Very
carefully, too. It seems she truly cares about you."
Dailey's entire demeanor seemed to glow with delight.
When Christine returned, she noticed from afar that he appeared... buoyant? As she got closer, the way he
looked at her was so intense it gave her goosebumps. She glanced at the young girl, who was beaming like a
sunflower. Christine could guess why.
She pulled Dailey away, and once they were in the car, she explained, "I'm just a beginner at this. A
handkerchief is simple to embroider."
"Don't overthink it. Everyone starts with stitching names." Dailey chuckled knowingly.
Christine found it hard to make him understand, so she turned away to stare out the window. But then he leaned
in closer, half-embracing her, resting his chin on her shoulder. His warm breath tickled her ear as he spoke in a
low, amused voice, laden with affection.
"I will cherish it."
"As long as it's here, I'm here. If it's not..."
Christine turned to stop him, but before she could raise her hand, her lips met his. She pulled back hastily, only
to find there was no room to retreat. He was so close she could see each individual eyelash. The emotion in his
dark eyes was so intense it made her heart race.
"Get.Away. From. Me," she said through clenched teeth.
Dailey placed a gentle kiss on her nose. "No need to be so excited."
"It's not that. You shouldn't tie your life to a piece of cloth."
"But you do care about me."
Up front, Finn floored the
accelerator, silently wishing the car could fly. Christine was usually so unflappable in these situations, confident
and poised. Who knew she'd be blushing now?
"Your ears are red, Chris."
"
Her face felt warm as well, a result of his low voice dripping with teasing warmth.
"Chris, your face is red, too."
Finn wished he could make the gas pedal spark. Why did they take a car without a partition today?
"Get lost," Christine muttered, shoving Dailey away. She tapped Finn's seat. "It's too hot. Turn on the air
conditioning."
