Chapter 598 LetGo, My Mafia Husband Chapter 598 The Ancient Prophecy "Selena!" "Selena!" Someone was calling my name, their voice desperate, shakingfrantically.
But I couldn't pull myself out of the world I seemed trapped in. "Selena!" That familiar voice, rich and soothing with a magical pull, pierced through the terrifying scene in my mind. It draggedout of the nightmare that played like a vision before my open eyes. I snapped back to reality, gasping as if surfacing from deep water. "Selena," Zander's firm hand held mine, anchoring me. I turned to see his worried face, his piercing eyes filled with fear. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice soft but urgent.
I exhaled loudly, realizing I had been holding my breath for what felt like an eternity. My gaze darted around, trying to ground myself. The event was still unfolding smoothly. Everyone was safe, and no one seemed harmed. Blair and Maddox stood before me, their expressions frozen in stunned disbelief. Zander's mother held Austin tightly, his small cries reaching my ears-likely a reaction to my unusual and alarming appearance.
Everything was fine.
No chaos, no destruction, nothing like the horrifying vision I had just experienced. It was only me-shaking in fear, drenched in sweat, and feeling completely out of place amidst the celebration.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtBut then... what was that? Who were those people, and where was that place I had just seen plunged into cataclysm? The horrifying scene I had witnessed moments ago the blood, the chaos, the pain-it all felt so real, as though I had truly been there, standing in the midst of the disaster. "Selena." The gentle but commanding voice of my mother, the High Priestess, resonated nearby. I turned my head to find her standing before me, her eyes serene yet knowing.
"Mother, I... I saw" I stammered, the fear grippingtoo tightly to form coherent words.
"I know, my dear," my mother said and her voice was calm as though she understood everything withoutneeding to explain. She nodded, her expression a mix of reassurance and foreboding. "Let's talk in private," she suggested, her gaze flicking around at the countless eyes fixed on us.
I nodded, walking over to Austin and taking him into my arms. His tear-streaked cheeks and trembling lips tugged at my heart.
"Baby, Mom's fine. Don't cry, okay?" I said softly, brushing his cheeks dry and pressing a kiss to his forehead. "I was just playing a prank on Dad to scare him, you know?" "Really, Mom?" he sniffled, his wide eyes searching mine for confirmation.
"Really, champ." Zander stepped in with a playful grin. "Your mom totally got me. She won." Austin blinked, his tears stopping as his lips curved into a small smile. "Mom's always the best at pranks!" he declared, his voice regaining its cheerful tone.
"Now, will you go with Grandmom and eat something while Mom and Dad talk to the High Priestess?" I asked, knowing he'd understand. Though he knew the High Priestess was his grandmother, we'd taught him to address her formally because one day, he'd take Zander's place as Alpha. "Okay, Mom!" he chirped, now fully recovered. He wriggled out of my arms and ran to hold Zander's mother's hand.
Zander's mother gavea knowing nod and a soft smile before guiding Austin toward the buffet, distracting him with the promise of something delicious.
Blair and Maddox exchanged brief, concerned glances with us as we moved toward the pack house. We followed the High Priestess into a private room, the heavy door shutting firmly behind us.
"What's going on?" Zander demanded, his tone edged with worry and authority as his gaze shifted between my mother and me.
His tone was sharp, almost demanding, as concern laced his every word. "She turned so hot like she was burning, and her eyes... they becgolden, with rays shimmering around her. I was terrified when I found her frozen like that. Can someone explain what that was?" My mother, ever composed, met his frustration with a calm demeanor. "Alpha King," she said softly, her voice steady. "She was experiencing a vision. It's one of the powers she has inherited as a descendant of the Moon Goddess." on me.
"A vision?" I echoed, confused. My heart was still racing, my thoughts muddled. "But what I saw was terrifying, Mother. I didn't recognize the people in it. How can I help them if I don't even know who they are?" I asked desperately, the weight of the unknown pressing down "Dear," my mother began gently, her words carrying a gravity that made my chest tighten. "What you saw was the fate of the Lunar Realm." My eyes widened in shock. "The Lunar Realm?" I whispered, dread creeping into my voice.

"The existence of the Lunar Realm and its people is on the brink of disappearing in a catastrophic disaster." Her words hung in the air, heavy and unyielding, as the reality of what I had witnessed started to sink in. "What?" Zander and I both exclaimed in unison and our shock was evident in our eyes and voice both.
"But there's more," my mother continued, her calm demeanor unwavering despite the seriousness of her words. "According to an ancient prophecy, only the savior-meaning you, Selena-can save them and the Lunar Realm from destruction." "Me?!" I gasped, confusion and disbelief clouding my thoughts. "How?"
"Because you have been blessed with the powers of the Moon Goddess," she explained patiently. As her descendant, your rebirth has a meaning and a purpose."
Her words madegape in astonishment. "So... that's the reason I was made to live wolfless my whole life?! And that is why my wolf reawakened only recently, just when it's almost time?!" I mumbled, piecing together the puzzle that had haunted.for so long.
"Yes, Selena," she affirmed, but her tone was hesitant and I knew the om reason. "Your wolf, Arena, is not an ordinary wolf and you know that. She is ancient, powerful-one of a kind. No one else could possess her. Only a deity could handle the immense strength and power that Arena brings. You, as a partial goddess, are the only one capable of wielding her." "I... I don't know..." I mumbled, my voice barely above a whisper as I swallowed hard, sinking deeper into the weight of the situation.
But before I could even attempt to finish my sentence, my mother's voice cut through the tension, sharp and urgent. "We don't have tto waste anymore, Selena," she announced, her tone leaving el room for argument. Her piercing gaze locked onto mine. "You have to cwithto the Lunar Realm." What?! I stared at her in disbelief.
I had to go to the Lunar Realm?! But what about my mate? And what about my son? I just can't just leave them!
