While Edward was still in his meeting, | whipped up two bowls of noodles, fried a couple of eggs, and made some
nut milk.
By the t| cout, Edward had wrapped up his call and was on his phone again. He walked over to the
table, leaned down, and kissed my forehead out of nowhere, then stepped outside to keep talking.
When he cback, he leaned on the table, his voice low. “Jane Leigh says she wants to meet you.”
