Chapter 348: Chapter 347 Don’t Harm Your Own Body
Charlotte Smith stood silently at the door with a medical kit, feeling uneasy as she waited for Daisy Ginger and
Edward Stephens to cout.
Inside the room, gut-wrenching sounds of vomiting could be heard. Charlotte resisted the urge to go in until the
man opened the door and stood in front of her.
"Second Young Master," she looked at Edward Stephens. Seeing his composed expression, she felt less panicked
and cautiously asked, "The driver is waiting at the door. Does Miss Ginger need to go to the hospital?"
Edward shook his head and glanced towards the bathroom, his voice revealing no emotion: "Let's wait a bit."
Charlotte slightly pressed her lips together and lowered her head to apologize to him, "I'm sorry, Second Young

She felt guilty. Edward had entrusted her with something, showing his trust in her, and she had let him down.
Edward glanced at her, snorted slightly in a mocking manner, and said with a cold smile, "What does it have to
do with you? It was bound to cout eventually; she’s not a fool."
It was just unexpected that she would find out the truth at such a critical moment.
"But..."
"That's enough," Edward interrupted her, "I've already lost one child. This child, I'll see that she gives birth to it
safely. You'll help me, won't you?"
"..." Charlotte hesitated for a moment, clenched her hands, and lowered her head under Edward's gaze, "It's my
duty."
The man said nothing more, but as he heard the sounds from the bathroom subside, he leaned in to go inside.
Moments later, he cout holding the unconscious Daisy Ginger.
Charlotte looked at the woman in his arms.
Daisy’s hair was disheveled, her eyes closed, the wounds on her arm pale, her face stained with tears.
The whole person was in a dreadful state.
But Edward remained calm, showing no trace of compassion, filled instead with an obsessive possessiveness and
decisiveness.
Charlotte couldn't help but think that perhaps when he irrevocably drugged Daisy, he had already prepared for
the worst outcome.
Using any means necessary, he intended to imprison this woman by his side for life.
That's why when it all cto light, he was so calm, so calm it sent shivers down her spine.

Daisy was sent to the hospital.
The criss-crossing wounds on her wrists were stitched several times.
There was a risk of scarring.
When she woke up, she no longer had the strength to struggle, just lay there with a pale face, her eyes dazed
and powerless as she stared into emptiness.
Perhaps to not further provoke her spirit, Edward was not in the ward; only a nurse was left on duty.
A while after she woke up, the door was gently pushed open.
