Chapter 273: Chapter 273 Bullying Her
"You once said, this marriage of ours, is something | took from Emily Ginger’s hands..."
"Daisy!" Edward Stephens interrupted her, reaching out, tightly clutching her cold, lifeless fingers. His tone was
somewhat harsh, "We've been together for so long, can you really not see if I'm sincere or not?!"
"Then what are you hiding from me? Who is that woman? What is your relationship with her, and why do you
have to hide your conversations from me?" Daisy's voice also rose slightly. She really didn’t want to argue with
him. They cout to eat happily, so why argue over someone insignificant?
But she felt anxious. She thought she had truly grasped him, but why did she increasingly feel that he was like a
wisp of wind, ready to leave at any moment?
The more she knew him, the more she didn’t understand. She missed too much of his past, leaving his current
self blurred and unclear.
"Who is that woman?" Daisy took a deep breath, looked up at him, "I feel that tonight, | must know this."
No woman can tolerate her husband being ambiguous with a pretty woman right in front of her.
She can't stand it, nor is she willing to endure it.
Edward Stephens looked at her but didn’t speak.
Under the light, his face remained gracefully handsome, yet as Daisy looked at him, for sreason, he seemed
increasingly unfamiliar.
For a moment, it was as if he had transformed into another man she didn’t recognize at all.
"Not willing to talk?" Daisy looked at him, her gaze bright and cold, suddenly raising her hand to grasp the door

She turned around, about to open the door, when the man grabbed her arm. Daisy struggled briefly, only to be
embraced by him.
"Daisy," he said softly, "I love you."
Daisy was momentarily shaken.
"I really love you." His breath caressed her ear, inexplicably sounding slightly tremulous, "Please believe me,
won't you?"
This slight tremble made her heart ache piercingly.
She had never been willing to let him be troubled.
Daisy slowly looked up at him from within his embrace. The man’s deep black eyes reflected her pale face. She
raised her hand, gently caressing Edward Stephens’ cheek, her eyes reddening slightly.
"Edward," she whispered, "I love you too. But, | cannot accept you being entangled with another woman. She's
already in front of me, and yet you can’t even givean explanation." She slowly pushed away from his
embrace, tears gathering in her eyes falling down, "You wantto unconditionally accept everything about you,
yet you refuse to givean explanation. Such love is too selfish."
She opened the car door and stepped out, "Let's not meet for a few days. | hope that when we see each other
again, you can givea satisfactory answer."
She finished speaking, turned around, and left without looking back.
Edward Stephens didn’t cout.
