Chapter 57
Nola was puzzled that after going through the sthing, Elvis was able to go to work in high spirits while she
had a sore back and just wanted to sleep.
She tugged on his hand and looked at him with a pitiful expression. “Bad man!” She said angrily.
Elvis was not angry. “If you're tired, get srest.” In this way, he didn’t have to worry about Nola going out and
doing something bad.
Nola didn’t know what Elvis was worried about. She wasn’t convinced that she had compromised and still hadn't
gotten the answer she wanted.
“We agreed on an answer exchange. You haven't toldhow old you are?”
Elvis smiled and kissed her smooth forehead, stroking her head and dotingly saying, “I married the best you at
the right time. Good girl! I'm off to the office.”
Nola thought for a moment, not understanding the answer he was hiding in those words. But Elvis had slipped
away.
She thought that she was cunning, and now she had met an even more cunning Elvis. She remembered what
Linda had said and worried about her future family status.
It seemed like she would always be conquered by Elvis.
It shouldn't be so miserable, right?
She went back to sleep. When she woke up again, she was still wondering about Elvis’ age. When she saw Alisa,
she thought of an idea. She could ask someone, though Elvis didn’t tell her.
Alisa must know how old Elvis was.
At breakfast, she asked about it. Alisa told her that Elvis‘ birthday was at the end of May, and he would be
exactly twenty- nine next May.
So, he was twenty-eight now. He was five years older than her. No wonder, he was so good at taking care of her.

She was proud that she had found the answer, even though he didn't tell her.
Chase was taken away by the police for financial problems. Consequently, Cloud Building Material Company shut
down. It all happened so fast, but it made sense.
Everyone guessed that Chase must have offended someone.
The Grayson family saw the news and made a decision. Since the Joan family’s matter was resolved, it was time
for the two families to meet. After all, Nola had married into the Grayson family, and they should prepare for the
wedding.
Nola knew she couldn't avoid it, so she accepted.
They chose a Saturday. Elvis made tto take Nola back to the Grant family with him.
This time, she was not alone, being taunted by others.
Old Mrs. Grayson presented her with a jade bracelet, which Elvis urged her to wear.
“Since this has been given to you, wear it. If you don’t wear it, it’s just a dead thing.” Nola thought it was too
valuable and was

worried about breaking it she thought what Elvis had said made sense. So, she put it on before going out with
Elvis.
She was dressed in a light blue outfit that made her look cute and delicate. Elvis helped her put on her coat and
gloves.
Nola was wrapped up warm and emiled as she bent down to put on her boots. But Elvis knelt before her to help
her put on her short
“What are you doing?”
“Stretching your feet!”
Nola was shocked, but couldn't refuse. She had to do as he said. The feeling of being cherished touched her.
Having put on her shoes, Elvis stretched his hand toward her with satisfaction. “Let's go!”
He knew she was afraid of the cold. Worrying that she would catch a cold, he told her to wear more. After all, he
would worry her in case she caught a cold in the zero-degree temperature.
The heat was on in the car. Except for the twhen she felt the cold wind when she went out, she could hardly
feel the cold.
“I will put on shoes on my own. What if someone sees you helpingput on shoes? You're Elvis!”
“Silly girl, remember what | said? You'll have what everyone else has. | am not God. I'm just an ordinary guy.
There’s nothing wrong with helping my wife with her shoes.”
He said it frankly, and Nola was moved deeply by such a small thing.
The hands that control so many people in the Grayson Group were doing these little things for her. His
consideration made Nola feel so touched to accept his kindness.
Love was mutual, and Nola never thought she could marry someone so gentle.
“Why are you looking at me?”
“Mr. Grayson, you used to be very proud and cool. But suddenly, you becso sweet and considerate. I'm not
used to it yet,”
“I'm only considerate to you. | don’t care about other women.”
Nola laughed. It was so rare for him to say something like that. “Gee, you've been led astray by me. | can’t
believe that you've learned to say sweet words.”
“You like it, don’t you?”
“Yes! | like you more.” She smiled and even wanted to tell everyone that she had chosen the best man in the
world. That man was Elvis.
“What do you liketo call you?” Nola asked curiously.

Elvis didn’t say anything. Nola cocked her head in thought. “Honey?” She felt uncomfortable. “That's not a good
address.”
Elvis laughed, watching her think. “Elf, how about it?”
She smiled and said, “But I think Mr. Grayson sounds better.”
“What?” Elvis refused the aloof address and looked at her.
Nola thought he was like a child. Even though he was older than she was, he was like a child struggling with the

address.
“If you don’t likecalling you Elvis, then I'll call you EIf! That's it! | don’t accept rebuttals or comments”
Elvis knew she was shy. It was hard to get her to call him husband. He couldn't be in a hurry. The name, Elf, was
fine
“Remember, from now on, only | can call you EIf.”
“Why don’t you callhusband?” He asked. Nola blushed, remembering the image of that night when he asked
her to call him husband.
“If I always call you husband, you won't have any feelings. I'll call you husband when | want to coax you.”
Elvis was amazed, thinking, “Excuse me? Coaxing me?”
“You're going to pissoff a lot?”
Nola shrugged and laughed. “I don’t know! I'm just a cat, being naughty to make life happy. Meow
Elvis had a bad feeling that Nola would not be easy to control later.
