With him by her side, Nola felt at ease. Although she didn’t know if it would change, she was content for now.

The days they spent together were not long. But Nola gradually found that she seemed to have gotten used to

such a life. She even felt that it was a pleasure to help him tie his ties, although she could not make Elvis

satisfied with her skills.

“Can | give a bad review?”

“No! My store refuses to return or exchange goods. It’s a lifetdeal! You should be happy that my skills are

not good. It means that this is the first tI've ever done this for a man” Instead of feeling guilty about her

poor skill in tying a tie, Nola was proud.

She wasn't skilled because she had never used to do this kind of thing. Now she was learning. The fact that she

had the skills she had now meant that she was smart.

Elvis pinched her nose affectionately. “I verified it myself a long tago, but you have forgotten it.”

Nola looked at him and shoved him aside without mercy.

Nola was drunk at that time, so she spent the night with him. She thought that she had suffered a loss and Elvis

had benefited a lot.

“Go to work! You're the boss, don’t you get your pay docked for being late?”

“Behave at home! If you want to use the study, go in and don’t lie on the carpet.”

Nola nodded obediently and watched him leave. She stretched and looked back at her usual reading spot. She

preferred her little corner to Elvis all-sufficient study.

He trusted her, so he let her use his study. But she understood that the study was a very important place. It was

better for her not to just go in there.

Finally, it was tfor the recruiting exam at the end of the month. This opportunity was something she had

fought hard for, and she couldn't let Elvis laugh at her.

So, when Elvis returned hfrom a day of work, he would always see her holding the books she bought without

ca looking at him. Elvis frowned, suddenly realizing a problem. Would Nola forget about him later when she had a

job?

At dinner, he compulsorily snatched the book from her hand and only then was she willing to have a meal

properly.

“It’s just an exam.”

“It’s just an exam for you, but it’s not the sfor me. Tomorrow, | must get a good grade to live up to that

letter of recommendation.”

She was pulling strings. Nola didn’t want to be seen as useless by her colleagues when she got into the

company. It was because of that letter of recommendation that she had to work harder so that no one could

blher.

She worked very hard. When Elvis cback to the bedroom, he saw her asleep with the book in her hand.

Seeing that she was sleeping soundly, Elvis carefully took away the book from her hand and made her lie flat to

sleep comfortably. Elvis sighed helplessly, her serious little appearance was more and more attractive.

With a gentle smile, he kissed her softly on the side of her face.

She didn’t need to try so hard after she married him.

Chapter 50

Elvis asked softly, “Are you working so hard because you want to earn money to supportlater?”

+13)

Under the soft light was Elvis’ handsface. He did not even realize that he was very gentle at this time. He

had never even looked at Nancy like this.

Nola suddenly cinto his life, giving him a different surprise every time.

Who would have thought that he would just accept someone he didn’t even know and make her his wife?

In the darkness of the night, Elvis held the person in his arms, watching her nestle in his arms like a cat. He

smiled tenderly, satisfied.

At that time, he must have been fascinated by Nola to do such an incredible thing. He still didn’t understand why

he had agreed to her at that time.

What if Nola had chosen someone other than him at that time?

With the thought that Nola might have almost becsomeone else's, Elvis tightened his strength and hugged

her even tighter.

He was glad that he met her every time. He was gladder that the only irrational decision he had ever made in his

life was not

wrong.

On the day of recruitment, Nola woke up early. She was in high spirits and changed her clothes, ready to go.

“Cwithto the office today.”

“Go together?”

“Are you going to walk by yourself?” Elvis seemed to know that Nola wanted to get away from him. Was it

embarrassing to stand with him?

only

Nola shook her head. It seemed she could only go with Elvis. However, she didn’t want people to misunderstand

that she got into the company with her boss‘ help. If people knew that, she would not be acknowledged even if

she worked hard and achieved good results.

After breakfast, Nola and Elvis went out together. She was about to put on her shoes, and Elvis saw her long hair

spread out. What an elegant and charming woman! She seemed more attractive this way.

He frowned. “Tie your hair up?”

Nola put on her shoes and looked at Elvis, puzzled. “It’s cold in winter with my hair tied up.”

“You can wear a scarf or a hat.” Elvis saw that she had a rubber band in her hand, grabbed it when, and tied her

hair up himself.

“Don’t blme if you move around again and get ugly.”

Nola was indeed worried about Elvis‘ skill. He was a man. How could he possibly help a woman tie her hair, even

if it was a simple ponytail?

He just tied her hair up, not wanting anyone to see her with loose hair.

“Am | ugly without tying my hair?”

“You are mine from head to toe. | don’t want people to see you with your hair loose.”

Nola was speechless. Surprisingly, it was because of this. She was just too lazy to tie up her hair, and Mr.

Grayson was not happy about it.

She giggled. Did her mother use to be as happy as she was now?

“Mr. Grayson!”

“Yes?”

“Will you comb my hair in the future? | think this action can show the intimacy between coupler

“Yes!”

Elvis drove seriously. His answer made Nola happy.

She suddenly turned sideways, kissed him on the side of his face, and quickly sat straight up.
