“You hit me. I am Glynnis Abernathy!”
Glynnis was curled up in agony, her body soaked in sweat, moaning and rolling as if she was in a
cocoon.
But the more she yelled, the weaker her voice became, losing its strength.
Could this really be the kick of a woman? It was too terrifying!
“You’re Glynnis Abernathy, so what? You’re not Marilla Abernathy. What’s stopping me from hitting
you?”
Lily laughed, moving her neck, her gaze so chilling it made Glynnis shudder, “Your life only mattered in
your eyes. In mine, you’re no different from that mouse in the corner.”
At these words, anger rose in Glynnis, She felt utterly humiliated!
Gritting her teeth, she got up from the ground, feeling a surge of bravery, wanting to fight this she–devil!
But before Glynnis could even stand up, she was again knocked down by Lily’s kick, even more
ruthless than the last.
“Ah!”
Glynnis was sprawled out on the ground like a frog, in an atrocious posture. She was in such pain that
she felt as if her insides were tied up in knots. Her tears and snot mixed with the dust on her face,
making her look even more pathetic than the mouse in the corner.
Lily was not a man, so she had no qualms about hitting a woman. Just as she was about to add
another kick, Jareth’s cold voice came through her bluetooth earbud, “That’s enough, Lily, You’re being
too harsh. Looking at her now, another kick from you and she might be done for.”
Lily retracted her poised leg. “Alright.”
Glynnis was in excruciating pain, feeling like she was on the verge of death. She faintly heard the brutal
woman in front of her talking to someone, but couldn’t make out what was being said,
“So you’re just going to let her off?”
“No need to be brutal, just slap her a few times to wake her up.” Jareth’s tone was casual, oozing with
a sexy laziness.
Meanwhile, on the other side.
Inside the black Rolls Royce, the scene inside the warehouse was being broadcasted on the television
screen.
Jareth watched Glynnis‘ pitiful state with cold eyes. Apart from feeling satisfied, he also found it
amusing.
No, he wasn’t satisfied enough.
Thinking about all the things this woman had done to his beloved wife, he wished he could personally
break her ribs, cut off her tongue, and break her hands to avenge Marilla.
But he needed to consider that Marilla was, after all, the heiress of the Abernathy family. He didn’t have
control over the Fairhaven group yet, and making a big fuss would indeed be disadvantageous for him.
He wasn’t afraid of causing trouble, but he was afraid of causing trouble for Marilla.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe was afraid he wouldn’t be able to protect her.
Jareth thought about their future together, about the countless troubles and obstacles that might be
waiting for them, and he felt a heavy pressure in his chest, sighing deeply.
His warm breath just happened to spray on the cute little ear of the woman in his arms.
“Mmm.”
Marilla whimpered softly, opening her bleary eyes from Jareth’s arms.
“Did I wake you? Hmm?” Jareth’s voice was hoarse. He lowered his eyes and gently rubbed her
reddening earlobe with his thin lips.
He loved her so much. He never wanted to let go of her when he held her, and he always wanted more
when he kissed her.
“Mmm. No, I just woke up.”
Marilla, although she was late in understanding things between men and women, had already made
love with Jareth. She had also experienced the act of love–making, and both her body and soul
seemed to have undergone a fiery baptism, making her more mature than before.
At this moment, she listened to the man’s heavy breathing, feeling his continuous gentle kisses, which
slid down from her earlobe in attempt to explore her more deeply.
Marilla blushed as if she had put on rouge, burrowing deeper into the man’s chest, knowing well the
desires stirring in his heart.
“Don’t move. Let me kiss you for a while.”
Jareth’s eyes were full of tender affection, his fingers pinched Marilla’s chin, his tongue pried open her
teeth, and he boldly took what he wanted in her warm mouth.
Marilla was kissed by him till her head was dizzy. She had no power to resist, her eyes were squinted,
allowing the man to have her:
The temperature in the car was getting higher and higher, and it seemed like it was about to catch fire.
Suddenly, Jareth heard a crisp “slap” sound from his earbud, so loud that it almost rupture his
eardrums. His movements stopped and he removed his earbud with a frown.
“Jareth, is that my sister?” Marilla tightened her hold around his waist, looking at the screen where
Glynnis was being slapped by Lily in shock.
“Yes. Besides your wicked sister, who else could be so ugly?” Jareth looked at Glynnis’s miserable
state with disgust.
Marilla watched as Lily pulled Glynnis up by her hair like a radish, swinging her arm to slap her face!
After only a few slaps, Glynnis’s beautiful face had swollen like a pig’s head, blood dripping from the
corner of her mouth, her nose bleeding, and her eyes almost swollen shut.
Lily was a trained fighter. As Jareth’s bodyguard, her skills were well–known.

“I was wrong. Stop hitting me.” Glynnis was in so much pain that her tongue was swollen. She was
crying and begging for mercy incoherently.
The more Jareth heard her screams, the more pleased he was.
“Why are you hitting her?”
Marilla was full of fear, shaking his muscular arm forcefully, “Tell Lily to stop!”
“My dear, why should I stop?” Jareth caressed her cheek.
Dear?
Hearing this, Marilla’s face turned even redder. She pressed her lips tight.
“I told you before, I will not only protect you, but also teach anyone who dares to bully you a lesson
they will never forget.”
Coldness flashed across Jareth’s eyes, “I can’t tolerate all the things Glynnis has done to you. I’ve
been lenient by letting her live a carefree life for so long. I’ll make her pay back tenfold, a hundredfold
for everything she’s done to you. And it’s just getting started.”
Marilla felt a tightness in her chest.
The man in front of her was still as tender and affectionate towards her as ever, but his eyes had
changed.
Marilla knew, Jareth would only show this side of him when he was with her. To others, he was as
terrifying as a wild beast.
Sometimes, she didn’t understand, she didn’t agree, but that didn’t stop her from loving him.
“Dear, just relax and enjoy the show,”
Jareth wrapped an arm around her slender waist, “Staying at home all the time is boring. It’s good to go
out, enjoy some fresh air and the show. It makes you happier.”
Marilla watched as Glynnis was beaten to a pulp, fear rising within her. Her eyes wide and pleading,
cold sweat dripped down her forehead, “Jareth! Please, spare my sister! She’s my sister! Mom’s
favourite daughter!”
She continuously called out, shaking his arm, lost in a state of panic.
Suddenly, Jareth understood something. He opened his arms and held her tightly, commanding Lily to
stop.
“Yes,” Lily obeyed, mechanically releasing Glynnis’s hair.

Glynnis collapsed on the floor, her mouth swollen to the point she couldn’t speak. All that was left was
sobbing.
“Stop! Please, just stop!” Marilla also began crying. Her tear–stained face reminded him of a five to six
years old child, her large teardrops falling onto Jareth’s shoulder, causing his heart ache.
“Alright, alright. It’s over. It’s over. Marilla, sweetie, don’t cry. Don’t cry. I’ll listen to you, I’ll always listen
to you!” Jareth continuously comforted her, trying to soothe her. Zoey, who had been Mr. Fairhaven’s
driver for over a decade, was left dumbfounded.
This adorable girl was truly extraordinary. She was his saver!
Ever since Mr. Fairhaven passed away, Jareth lived in a world of darkness, becoming increasingly
violent and cold, mocking life, not understanding love.
But, this girl’s appearance changed him. She made him capable of crying and laughing. It was truly
wonderful.
Marilla gradually calmed down, sobbing pitifully in Jareth’s arms.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEach sob pulled at his heartstrings, causing him pain.
Her usual lively and innocent nature often made him forget that his wife was not normal; she had
autism.
He had been secretly looking for a cure both domestically and internationally, but to no avail. All they
told him was she needed psychological guidance, and long–term patience and support. The process
was long and torturous, few could endure it.
But, he would endure it.
Marilla was his woman, and since he chose her, he would never abandon her; he would be with her for
life.
“Jareth, thank you. You didn’t hurt my sister, thank you.” Marilla whispered.
“She hurt you, insulted you, hit you, why are you still protecting her?” Jareth asked, his eyebrows
furrowed in distress, but his voice was gentle.
Marilla sniffled, “Because she’s my sister. Mom and dad love her a lot. They’re always happy when
they see her. I don’t want to upset them. Seeing her get hurt, they would be very sad.”
It was a strange logic, unheard of.
To win her parent’s favour, she was willing to forgive someone who hurt her so badly.
Jareth felt a pang of heartache, as if his heart was pierced by needles, the pain spreading throughout
his body.
“Marilla, you’re too kind.”
So kind, it made him want to cry..
She, this kind–hearted girl, was a beam of light shining into his dark life, so incompatible, yet he
desperately want to hold onto her.
Just as Jareth was lost in thought, Marilla suddenly lifted her pale neck. Her tender lips kissed his
trembling Adam’s apple.
Jareth felt he almost lost control, his muscles tensed, a fire ignited in his lower belly; a certain part of
him desired to release.
Jareth, do you want to do it here?” Marilla asked, her lips leaving his Adam’s apple.
She didn’t know how to phrase it, so she just picked a word.
This was making it harder for him.
Zoey, the driver, unbeknownst to them, raised the privacy screen in the car.
The open car quickly became a private space.
“Marilla, you’re being naughty.” Jareth broke out in a cold sweat, his eyes darkened, his hands slowly
tightened around her soft body.
“No, I’m not. How could I naughty you? I just want to thank you.”
Marilla blinked her clear eyes, pouting. “Then forget it, pretend I didn’t say anything. um!”
Jareth quickly kissed her lips, sucking crazily, stealing her breath.
Their tongues intertwined, their lips conjoined.
His hands roamed, turning her delicate skin red.
“What’s said is said, dear.”
Jareth narrowed his eyes, pulling at his tie as he moved closer. “The fire you’ve lit, only you can
extinguish it.”
