Chapter 95. In the room next to her
Athena always knew something was wrong with her wolf.
Not literally but she knew her wolf was a little different than others. From the time she first shifted to till the time she last shifted
before her wolf was lost, she has noticed an unnoticeable change in her wolf’s colour. She didn’t know if she made sense or not.
The first time she shifted, her wolf’s colour was brown. Plain brown. She loved her wolf’s colour. It was pretty common in colour
but she didn’t care, she felt special to have a wolf even. But after one year or so she suddenly realised how much her wolf
changed its colour slowly. From light brown, it tumed to deep brown. Then, over the years it turned to dark chocolate and after
she shifted after months yesterday, IT WAS FREAKING RED!
She was a red wolf!
‘Beautiful we are, aren’t we?’ The familiar voice of her wolf pulled her back to the present and she looked at Lisa with widened
eyes. She still had a hard time believing everything. She still couldn’t believe it.
“LI have a red wolf..” She stammered out in an astonished tone.
“Yes, you do and you are beautiful. But do you remember anything else apart from that?” Lisa asked in a cautious tone while
looking at her carefully. Lisa’s expression made Athena frown as she tried to understand why she was acting like that.
And that’s when she got some more flashes. She suddenly remembered why she shifted in the first place. Dominic’s painful
howling, the pain she felt which couldn’t stop her wolf from shifting. She ran to find him and then...
Her face filled with horror and she looked at Lisa and her eyes filled with tears immediately.
“I am guessing you remembered everything, Athena.” Lisa said in a monotonous tone, not letting anything show. The tears

dropped from her eyes and rolled down her cheeks.
“Ye.. yes... L.L... Do..Dominic...” She stammered while already making preparations for running out.
“Please calm down Luna. Take a deep breath and listen to me.” Lisa said as she was already expecting this kind of reaction.
Athena’s face tumed cold and she looked at Lisa in the eyes.
“Where’s Dominic?” She asked.
“I will tell you after you listen to me calmly.” Lisa said in a calm tone and Athena was too shocked and rigid to say anything. So,
she just simply nodded at her. Lisa took the hint. “So, you passed out last night out of exhaustion. You wolf took this time to heal
you both. Apart from that, you have no other complications, isn’t that right?” She asked slowly and Athena nodded while holding
herself with a lot of difficulty from lashing out at Lisa.
“Yes, now tell me where Dominic is?” She demanded with gritted teeth. She didn’t want to behave rudely with her once again
even though she was having a lot of difficulty.
“I will tell you, Athena. Please keep your calm.” Lisa tried to calm her down as the main thing was yet to be revealed to her.
“Where the hell is my mate?!” She growled and her eyes were already glowing.

“He...he is in the room next to you.” Lisa stammered out as she was afraid of Athena at that moment. She looked really scary at
that moment and she knew irritating her at that moment is not going to turn out to be good.
“Why is he here?! What is he doing there?! Why didn’t he come to meet me when I was here?!” Athena exclaimed with a deep
frown She acted crazy as she got down from the bed and was going to run out. “I want to go to him.” She said but Lisa stopped
her at the right moment
“Luna, wait!” She stopped by holding Athena’s hand.
Athena immediately turned around and growled at her. Her canines came out already as she dared Lisa to say something. Lisa
immediately took a step back..

“What? Why are you stopping me from meeting my mate?” She snapped, her tone almost didn’t sound like her. She didn’t know
why she was feeling so restless and uneasy. A heavy feeling was settled on her chest, making her feel really like she was going
to g o crazy if she hadn’t met Dominic at that time.
“There’s something you need to know before you meet him, Luna.” Lisa whispered while looking down. She felt bad to even utter
the news as she couldn’t imagine how hard it was going to be for Athena. Athena frowned deeply hearing her and took a small
yet intimidating step toward Lisa to hear her better.
“What is it?!” She asked in a steel cold tone which made a shiver pass through Lisa’s spine.
“I think you remember what happened to him last night?” Lisa asked in a low tone and let out a sigh. There was no way of hiding
things anymore and what’s the point? Athena was going to know sooner or later anyway. She let out another sigh before looking
up at Athena who slowly nodded at her.
“Yes... He was attacked with silver and he was bleeding a lot. How’s he?” Athena asked in a soft tone, afraid of hearing anything
negative even though her heart was already saying the opposite. But she could still hope, right?
“We managed to flash all the silver out of his system but it was a little bit late. The silver already did its work.” Lisa said while
looking at Athena guiltily.
“What do you mean?” Athena asked with a frown, tired of the hide and seek game al ready. But she still asked with the remaining
patience.
“It has entered his system a little bit and affected his wolf badly which is why his recovery got much slower than normal.” Lisa
trailed off, still didn’t have the courage to say the truth on her face. But Athena had enough.
“What are you trying to say? Be clear!” She snapped loudly and in a blink of an eye, her eyes glow red again, ready to lose
control any moment now. Lisa’s eyes widened and that was it for her as she sprouted out the truth.
“He and his wolf were unable to fight the silver which resulted in him falling into a coma.”
Lisa couldn’t complete her sentence when she felt a hard push on her side and before she could understand anything, Athena
was already bolting out of the door.
