BACK AT THE SENATORIAL RESIDENCE.
"No, no. I can't tell him anything at thus moment. Knowing how my son is. He can flare up at any moment.. "
"But how did he know of my involvement with James. That stupid fool must be careful.." He thought.
"Dad, I'm asking you a simple question.." Damien said and Leo jolted out of his thoughts.
"Ahem..' He cleared his throat.
"Of course, I know him. I mean who wouldn't?" Leo shrugged.
"Moreover we are politicians.." He added.
'That's not what I'm asking about, Dad. Do you know him personally? Are you very close to him? Do you guys do business
together? Those are the questions I'm insinuating at!" Damien snapped and Leo sighed.
"Believe me son, I don't have anything to do with that man aside politics. That's it.." Leo said and Damien just stared at him.
No matter how hard he was trying to believe him, one of part of him didn't believe him.
"So are you in town for now or you are leaving soon?" Leo asked.
"I'm leaving soon. I have no business whatsoever here.."
"Son, you should stay here. Settle down here. Get married and have kids.."
Damien chuckled silently.
"Really? Now you are acting concerned? Sorry dad, I'm not ready now for all those stuff you mentioned. I will be leaving soon. I
can't stay here, remember I have no family here.." Damien said and Leo sighed again.
"Okay then.." Damien said and turned to leave.
"Wait, son. I arranged your favourite meals for you. Aren't you going to have some.."
"There is no need for that.." Damien said and walked out.
Leo sighed.
"If you only know I am doing this all for you. Just because of you. Your mum couldn't understand anything. She didn't want to
understand and that's the reason she left us but I promise to make you my legacy. You will be the owner of everything I have. All
my businesses in out and of this country. The time is not right now.." He said and brought out his phone. He dalied James's
number and he answered the call immediately.
"Yes, Senator Leo.."
"Are you sure you are keeping our identity known?" Leo asked.
"Of course, Senator. No one knows we are business partners.." James replied.
"Wow! But my son has suspicions. You need to be careful so we won't get caught.." He said.
"Yes, Senator.."
"How about the shipping of the girls and kids to China. When will it start?" He asked.
"In two days time.." James replied.
"Make sure this mission is a success. I don't want to hear that it failed again or else we are going to lose our positions.." Leo
said.
"Yes, I can't risk losing my position. Don't worry, I'll make sure I find out who the spy is.."He said.
"Good.." Leo said and hung up. A smile appeared on his lips.

Jason walked into the house and met Nick in walking on his laptop. He shook his head and then Nick looked up.
"Hi, baby.." He winked. Jason scoffed and threw the packet of crayon at him.
"Tell me what do you need that for?!" He almost yelled at him.
"I meant my friend son's is having his birthday celebrations. So I need to give him a gift. I just thought about giving him crayons.
Not so bad.." He said and winked at him again.
"Because of you, I bumped into her again today and this.." Jason stopped and slumped into the nearby sofa, then held his chest.
"This stupid heart of mine almost betrayed me..' He said.
"Aww, it's seems you are whipped by that girl. Just like you were with Asanel.." Nick said.
Jason suddenly sat up.
"Yeah, I just remembered tomorrow's Asanel's birthday.."
Nick groaned.
"That again. You've been celebrating her birthday for seven years now even if she's not here anymore. Gosh! I'm tired of
talking..." Nick said.
Jason smiled as he remembered something.
FLASHBACK.
Seven years earlier.
"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Happy birthday to youuu..." Jason sang and
Asanel smiled.
"Gosh! You really surprised me!" She hit his arm slightly and he chuckled.
"Go on, make a wish.." He said and she chuckled.
"I thought you don't believe in those things.." She rolled her eyes.
"I'm doing all these for you.." He winked at her and she blushed heavily.
"Stop it!" She whined.
"Go on, make a wish.." He said and she nodded. She closed her eyes and then opened it. Then she blew off the candles on the
cake..
Jason smiled and then placed the cake on the table in front of them.
"What did you wish for?" Jason asked.
"It's a secret!" Asanel said placing her index finger on her lips.
"Oh! I know what you wished for. To be the girlfriend of the most handsome guy in your school right and that's me.." Jason said
proudly.
Asanel scoffed.
"You wish!" She said.
END OF FLASHBACK.
"Why are you smiling?" Nick asked jolting him out of his thoughts.
"Nothing.." He quickly said.
"You were..' He was about to talk when the door bell suddenly rang.
"I'll get it.." Jason said and stood up. He walked to the door and then opened it.
"Jason.." A voice called and Jason's eyes widened. He could recognise that voice from anywhere.
He looked up and his eyes widened the more. Then he smiled widely.
"Deborah!" He called and she jumped on him hugging him tightly.
"My baby's back.." He said and she giggled. She broke the hug and poked his forehead lightly.
"Why didn't you call me? I was alone in the states and none of you even called me that often. It was only mom who checked up
on me sometimes. Even Tyson didn't call me, Dad, and worse even you.." She frowned her face making her look more cute.
Jason chuckled seeing her that way.
"You are laughing.." She said and he hugged her again.
"And that reminds me, I came back because I heard the news. You are finally getting married to Giselle. You agreed?!" She
yelled and he moved back slightly.
"Deb, it's not what you think.." Jason said.
"I told you I don't like her. I don't like her! She's pompous and thinks she's the most beautiful. I just don't like her!" Deborah yelled
and Jason sighed.
"And don't tell me you've gotten over Asanel, cause it's clearly not true. I knew how crazy you are about her! You can't lie to me,
Michael!" She yelled again and Jason sighed again.
"I actually came back because of that. And can you believe I told her you were still in love with that girl but she didn't believe me.
That's how stupid she is!"
"Gosh! Will you stop yelling?" A voice said and Deborah frowned and looked up.
Her jaws dropped when she saw him. He was handsome.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I'm your brother's best friend.." Nick said, placing his hand on Jason's neck.
"And your brother doesn't like that Giselle. Infact I don't too. For your info, he's in love with another girl!" Nick said and Jason
gave him a glare but he shrugged.
"Oh really!" Deborah squealed.
She quickly ran to Jason and hugged him again.
"Who's the lucky lady? Tell me! Tell me!" She said as soon as she broke the hug.
"It's no one. He's just blabbing.." Jason said.
"Come on, tell me.." She said and just then her phone rang.
"Just a minute.." She says and brought out her phone from her bag.
Her smile altered when she saw who was calling.
"What's it? Who's calling?" He asked.
"It's.. it's dad.." Her voice shook.
"Wait, did you tell him you are coming?" Jason asked and she shook her head.
Even her hands were trembling.
"Gosh!" Jason groaned.
"I'm sure he must have found out. What do I tell him?' She asked with fear.

Elle got out of the car. She took her face cap and wore it. Well, she's already here at the safe house. She still needs to know
more about that senator Leo.
She knocked on the gate and the gate keeper opened it. She then walked in.
She mer Blade and his men outside. They were drinking and playing some games.
"It's boss ma'am.." One of them said.
Blade immediately sprang up on his feet.
"Boss ma'am.." He said.
"Surprised on seeing me, right?" She asked.
"I asked you to keep an eye on the hostage. What if he runs off?" She asked him.
"Trust me! Boss, he's in there. He doesn't even has the chance to escape.." He said and Elle nodded.
She walked into the room he was kept in and her eyes widened with what she saw.
"Blade!" She screamed and immediately Blade ran to her.
"Boss ma'am.." He called. He got there and he also froze to the spot.
Langford was not in. He had successfully taken off the bonds on him.
"Where's he?" Elle asked angrily.
"I swear he was just here now I.. " He was still talking when Elle pushed him off. She ran to the back and there she saw him
climbing down the fence.
"Langford!" She yelled with clenched fists.
