Chapter 387 Suzanne paused. The next second, she lifted her ring unabashedly for Cheryl to see. With a twinkle in her eyes, she asked, "What do you think? Cheryl had thought that Suzanne had started seeing someone. As it turned out, Suzanne had actually gotten the ring from playing a gat a restaurant.
That curiosity of hers was snuffed out the moment it was piqued.
Studying Suzanne's ring, Cheryl nodded and said, "It's gorgeous." The only thing was that it was a little pricey for her.
Cheryl picked up her drink from the table and sipped on it slowly.

Suzanne hurried over to her and patted her gently on the back. In a warm voice, she soothed, "You didn't have to be so shocked, did you? You've got to take care of your voice." Cheryl was now someone in the entertainment industry. Even though she wasn't a singer, her work would still be affected if anything happened to her voice.
After Cheryl finally got over her coughing fit, she lifted her reddened face to look at Suzanne. Doubtfully, she probed, "Are you being serious? You're not kidding me, are you?" How was it that Suzanne was married? She hadn't even heard any news about it before. Suzanne hid her marriage really well.
Propping her head up with her hand, Suzanne gazed at Cheryl. She looked like she wasn't kidding at all.
Cheryl had no choice but to accept it was a fact. Though, this clike a bolt from the blue. Suddenly, she felt curious. "Suzanne, who's your husband?" Suzanne was such a remarkable woman. Her husband was probably also a really outstanding individual.
Suzanne was unlike Cheryl, who was still entangled with a man like Marley.
Cheryl's eyes dimmed at these thoughts.
Suzanne fixed her eyes on Cheryl and put on a mysterious smirk on her face. "It's a secret for now. I'll tell you when the tis right." Cheryl was speechless. Suzanne was goading her.
Cheryl collected herself and looked back at Suzanne with an earnest expression on her face. She said, "Suzanne, all's good as long as he's good to you. Everything else's secondary." She knew how difficult it had been for Suzanne. The Yates family treated her so badly; none of her family members protected or loved her; and she met a jerk like Jenson.
Suzanne had to find a good man who treated her right.
Suzanne was moved to see how sincere Cheryl was. She gave her a firm nod. "I will. Definitely." Those three simple words sounded like a promise to Cheryl, but more than that, it was a promise to herself.

Looking at the smile on Suzanne's face, Chery could feel that Suzanne was in a pretty good was in a pretty good place. This meant that her husband was probably a decent man. At the very least, he wasn't making Suzanne frustrated.
As Suzanne's and Cheryl's eyes met, they smiled. It was as if a burden had been lifted off their shoulders at that moment, and they had built rapport.
Even though it was the weekend,
Suzanne was up to her ears in working on her designs for the Elite Om Contest and for Summer. She was basically making edits after edits. As long as she was the one working on them, she would strive for perfection. Then, it was the start of a new work week.
Suzanne drove to work on Monday morning. The moment she walked into the design department, she bumped into Lillian.
Lillian had been on leave ever since the incident at the restaurant last week.
Seeing Lillian startled Suzanne momentarily. Bruises could still be seen on Lillian's otherwise lovely face. The swelling on the corner of her eyes hadn't subsided either.
