Chapter 286 Suzanne took the gift bag from Yasmine and smiled sincerely. "Thank you." Yasmine chuckled. "Save my gift for when you're home." Suzanne's hand paused for a moment before her lips curled into a light smile. With a nod, she uttered, "Alright." Her gaze lingered on the bag, her curiosity stirring. She wondered what could be inside. Just then, Emma clambered into Yasmine's lap, her little lips pursed in a pout.

"Mommy, I want a gift too." Yasmine playfully pinched her nose and pointed at the Barbie dolls already unwrapped on the floor. "Weren't the gifts from Aunt Suzanne enough?" she asked.

Emma giggled, snuggling into Yasmine's arms with a spoiled little whine. "The more gifts, the better!" Her bell-like laughter was so infectious that everyone in the room found themselves smiling. Slipping out of Yasmine's embrace, little Emma ran over to Austin and tugged at his sleeve.

"Uncle Austin, where's my gift?" She held out her tiny hands expectantly, waiting for her present.

Austin turned to Emma and nodded. "I'll have Gabriel send over a full set of classic literature. Just make sure to write a thousand-word review afterward." Emma's face instantly fell. With a huff, she shuffled over to Suzanne, pressed herself against her side, and mumbled, "Uncle Austin, you're so mean. Aunt Suzanne's the best." Her remark drew a round of chuckles from the adults.

Undeterred, Emma huffed. "Fine! I'll just go back to building my Barbie dream house!" As she busied herself again, Yasmine turned to Suzanne with a smile.

"Suzanne, my legs have been feeling a little sore lately. Could you take a look?" Though it wasn't anything alarming, months of bed rest had left Yasmine with a lingering unease. With Suzanne right here today, there was no reason to hesitate. Suzanne furrowed her brows slightly at Yasmine's mention of sore legs.

She rose from her seat and walked over. "Giveyour hand." Sitting beside Yasmine, Suzanne placed two fingers on her wrist, carefully checking her pulse.

t Aaron heard Yasmine The moment mention discomfort, his expression tensed. He remained silent, but his eyes stayed locked on her, filled with concern. He couldn't afford for anything to go wrong again. Ble refused to go through the pain they had endured a second time.

As soon as Suzanne withdrew her hand, Aaron spoke up, his voice tight. "How is she?" Suzanne met his gaze with a reassuring smile. "She's fine." Then, she added, "Have you been overworking yourself lately? Make sure to get enough rest. Balance is key." In fact, Yasmine's condition had improved significantly compared to before.

Aaron let out a sigh of relief before turning to Yasmine. "You should take it easy for now. I can handle things." He refused to think about what would happen if anything went wrong again.

Yasmine reached out, lacing her fingers through his in a silent gesture of reassurance. "Don't worry. It's nothing serious." They both had their own companies to manage, and Aaron was already swamped with work. With her responsibilities on him, she couldn't bear to see him exhaust himself.

Aaron knew exactly what she was thinking. He also knew he couldn't nge her mind, so all he could do was sigh in resignation and let her be.

Suzanne settled back into her seat, and under the table, Austin took her in took her hand in his. She turned to look at him, but instead of pulling away, she flipped her hand over and laced her fingers with his. She had seen Yasmine and Aaron interact countless times, yet every time, she couldn't help but admire the depth of their bond.

Yasmine suddenly raised her glass to Suzanne and smiled warmly. "Happy birthday." It was just a simple wish, yet it filled Suzanne's heart with warmth. For the first tin years, she felt like this was truly her happiest birthday.

Aaron and Austin lifted their glasses too, and just then, Emma crunning over.

"I want to toast Aunt Suzanne too!" Holding up a glass of juice, she grinned and chirped, "Happy birthday, Aunt Suzanne!" Suzanne smiled at them all. "Thank you, everyone. May we always be surrounded by happiness."

Laughter filled the room as they lowered their glasses to let Emma join in the toast. The moment was warm, filled with quiet joy. Yet unbeknownst to Suzanne, in a corner outside the restaurant someone was watching.
