Chapter 340 Next to Watson, his grandmother, who also happened to be Mandy's mom, couldn't help but watch the young couple across from her with growing affection.

The elderly woman leaned over to her youngest daughter and whispered, "Allison and Charles really seem like a great match, don't they? I wonder if Allison's seeing anyone." Mandy chuckled, "Mom, relax. I've already checked-Allison's single." Hearing this, the old lady broke into a beaming smile, "That's wonderful, absolutely wonderful." Watson's grandfather, at the ripe age of eighty-three, was still impressively spry.

The old gentleman, brimming with energy, slid the menu over to Allison with a warm grin, "Allison, pick whatever you like." As a guest, Allison didn't shy away. She took the menu with a smile, "Then I won't hold back." The restaurant was a Chinese place, and as Allison scanned the menu, she noticed most of the dishes were Cantonese. She chose a few reasonably priced dishes, light and tasty, perfect for both the elderly and kids.

After ordering, Allison handed the menu back to the old gentleman, politely saying, "Grandpa, I'm done ordering. It's your turn." This simple "Grandpa" made the old man so happy, he looked at Allison as if she was already part of the family. "Ah, wonderful, wonderful." He took the menu, grinning from ear to ear.

Fred, taking all this in, kept his usual calm. Apart from a quick thank you to Allison earlier, he hadn't said much.

He knew Joshua. His company worked with the Fisher Corporation. He'd even attended Joshua's engagement party last year. The Fisher family had invited him and Mandy, but Mandy was off on a business trip to Europe then and couldn't make it. So, she had no clue Allison used to be Joshua's fiancée.

When Leo first saw Allison, he was genuinely taken aback for a moment. But he was good at keeping his poker face, so he didn't show it. He could tell that the Riddle family, especially his wife Mandy, was keen on setting up Watson with Allison. But, there was the history with Joshua...

Fred figured he needed to find a moment after dinner to clear up Allison's past with Joshua to Mandy.

The dinner went by quite enjoyably. Watson and Allison chatted about recent tough cases at the law firm.

After the meal, the group left the private room, laughter and conversation filling the air. Mandy V gave Watson a knowing look and he picked up on it right away.

He offered, "Allison, lettake you home." Allison politely declined, "No need, Watson. I drove myself and didn't drink, so I'm good to drive." Watson nodded, "Alright then." The elevator descended to the first floor. As the doors opened, Allison cface-to-face with Brian and Sabrina. The couple, who'd been cozied up, quickly untangled themselves, looking a bit startled.

Sabrina's face turned beet red as she stammered, "Allie, what are you doing here?"

Allison stepped out, nodding her greeting, her expression seriousm Brian shot Watson a look that spoke volumes.

Allison pulled Sabrina aside and turned to Watson, saying, "Watson, you guys go ahead f'll catch up with E my friend. I Watson replied, "Sure thing."

Mandy beamed, "We'll head off then, Allison. Let's get together again soon.

Julia, say bye to your sister." Julia, ever so sweetly, said, "Goodbye, Sister Allison," in her soft little voice.

Fred nodded at Allison, a silent goodbye. The elderly couple also bid their farewells. The old lady, with a warm smile, said, "Allie, drop by the house sometime." Not wanting to disappoint, Allison replied graciously, "Of course, next tfor sure."
