Chapter 302 Allison gave her a once-over, from head to toe, then let out a mocking laugh that echoed in the room.
"What's so funny?" Kate asked, irritation creeping into her voice.
"I just remembered an old saying," Allison replied, her eyes dancing with a dismissive amusement. "I wonder if Ms. Sabrina has ever heard the tale of the ugly duckling trying to mimic a swan?" Kate's face flushed with embarrassment and anger. Of course, she knew the story.

Allison chuckled, clearly entertained. "Oh, it's definitely not my trademark. I get it, Ms. Sabrina. You just happened to wear an outfit like mine, have the shairstyle, similar makeup, and even the sperfume. All just a big coincidence, right? You're certainly not trying to copy me, just a happy accident." Kate's face darkened, just as she was about to snap back, a cheerful male voice cut through the tension. "Allie!" Shawn's voice was filled with joy.
Kate froze in place.
Allison's expression turned icy as she fixed her gaze on Shawn.
Kate glared at Allison. "You're here for Shawn? Seriously, Allison, you broke up with him ages ago. Why are you still hanging around? Are you that desperate?" Allison scoffed, "Do you think everyone's like you, picking up trash and calling it treasure?" Shawn walked over, having heard every word clearly.
Allison's words stung, and Shawn felt a small pang of hurt. But he was used to it by now. He knew what he had put her through, and being called trash" was actually a mild term. He was aware of his shortcomings.
"Allie, I'm just relieved you're okay," Shawn said softly, standing in front of her, his tone gentle, his eyes full of lingering affection.
Allison's temper flared at his words. She shot up from the couch and slapped him across the face.

Shawn was quite the looker and always dressed to impress. The receptionist and sfemale- employees had secret crushes on him. Seeing him get slapped left the receptionist in shock.
If she wasn't worried about losing her job, she would have loved to record this juicy moment to share with the staff upstairs. Their CEO getting slapped by a woman what a scene! "Allison, have you lost it?" Kate yelled, rushing to Shawn's side, her voice full of concern. "Shawn, are you okay? Letsee your face."
Shawn's head had turned with the slap. Dazed for a moment, he quickly brushed off Kate's hand and locked En eyes with Allison. Shawn asked, visibly hurt, "What's going on, Allie?" Allison's voice was icy and severe, her whole demeanor radiating a chilling intensity. "Was it you who called the cops?"
Shawn nodded, "Yeah, I heard you'd been kidnapped, and I was worried sick. I didn't want anything to happen to you."
Allison's face was a storm of fury as she demanded, "How did you know I was kidnapped by Chris? Was it Lillian who told you?"
