That day had been a long tcoming for Joshua. Chris had finally landed in his grasp, giving him the chance to take down Chris and his crew all at once. Outside, his team was ready, including snipers and mercenaries he'd flown in overnight.
Earlier, when Joshua scoped the place out, it was clear Chris was running low on allies in the area. Nearly everyone Chris could count on was here.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtJoshua had cooked up a rescue plan the night before. If it went off without a hitch, Allison would be safe, and Chris and his gang would be captured. But it was a risky move. If it failed, both he and Allison might not make it out alive.
Success was so close. Then, out of nowhere, everything changed. Joshua hadn't expected Chris to go after Lizzy.
"Please, save Lizzy... Joshua, please..." Allison clung to him, her eyes begging, as he held her in his arms. Joshua's gaze was intense, unreadable.
He'd waited too long for this moment. They were in Cloudville, right on the border. America was just next door. The helicopter was right there, ready. Letting Chris escape to his stronghold in America would make future confrontations a nightmare.

He was curious about Joshua's choice. For him, sacrificing one little girl to take down a formidable enemy was a no-brainer. He never valued human life as something precious.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmFinally, Joshua spoke, "Let Lizzy go, and I'll let you leave, but your guys stay here." Chris seemed a bit taken aback but not entirely surprised.
Chris smirked and pointed at Liam, "He's coming with me." Liam was his right-hand man, the best he had next to himself. With Liam, Chris could handle a lot without lifting a finger. No way was he leaving Liam behind.
Joshua's voice was steely, "No way." Chris chuckled coldly, "Fine, I can always drop this girl."
Joshua felt the grip on his shirt tighten. His lips pressed into a firm line. After a tense pause, he relented, "Alright."
"Rooftop," Chris ordered, heading for the stairs. Just five more floors to the top. The helicopter bose heading for the fooftop. Joshua followed, holding Allison tight, her eyes filled with worry. Chapter 293
