Allison was hauled up the abandoned building by Chris's crew. Heights weren't her thing, and the higher they got, the more her legs felt like jelly. This half- finished concrete and steel giant had no railings on the stairs, and up top, there wasn't a safety feature in sight. Step by shaky step, she climbed with Chris's guys.
In her mind, she ticked off the floors. They cto a stop on the twenty-sixth. The guys holding her paused too. "What tis it?" Chris asked, sounding almost bored.

When he got the time, Chris raised an eyebrow, turning to Allison. "You really think... Joshua's gonna csolo to rescue you?" Allison pressed her lips together, eyes dropping to the floor.
"Scared?" Chris chuckled. "Relax, if you're that into him, I could set you two up as doomed lovebirds." Allison kept her head down, silent.
With a scoff, Chris found her quietness dull and started getting antsy. "I'm talking to you, can't you hear?" He suddenly grabbed her arm, pulling her forward roughly, and shoved her hard.
Caught off guard, Allison lurched forward, losing her footing. She wobbled dangerously before crashing down. Her hands were tied, so she couldn't catch herself, and her knees hit first. The sharp pain drained the color from her face, her features twisting in agony. Her upper body followed, her face smacking the floor, but she didn't yell. She just bit her lip, riding out the hurt.
The fall left her teetering near the building's edge. Peering down from the twenty-sixth floor, her fear of heights made her vision spin. She squeezed her eyes shut. "Cat got your tongue?" Chris laughed, almost amused by her silence.
He suddenly kicked over a metal drum nearby. The clanging echoed sharply against the concrete.

Allison frowned, puzzled by his mood swings. Just a moment ago, hem seemed all smiles and innocent chat downstairs. Now, he was acting wild and vicious, like a mad dog.
"Alright, if you won't talk, I'll make you," Chris said with a nasty grin, eyes locked on her. He sauntered here over like a hunter zeroing in on its prey, his smile dripping with malice. "How do you think Joshua would feet seeing you get hurt?" At his words, Allison trembled, eyes snapping open, filled with fear, shock, and
disgust, her face going even paler. Chris looked pleased with Kep M reaction his grin widening.
