Joshua had just made his way back to the Fisher estate when Lillian pulled into the underground garage. They both stepped inside, one after the other.

In the grand living room, Grandma Emily, Ben, and Haley were waiting, seated on the plush sofa. Joshua, looking all business and clearly in a rush, wasted no time. "It was Allie's friend who called the cops. They were worried sick because they couldn't get ahold of her and thought something might've gone down. The police reached out to the Owens family just to see if Allie was really missing. As it stands, they don't know Chris has kidnapped her. Since it's only been a few hours, they're not planning to open a case yet." Joshua's face was all stern, his dark eyes burning with a cold intensity.

"Chris called and wantsto go alone..." "No way! You can't go by yourself!" Lillian cut him off before he could say more.

Ever since hearing about Allison's kidnapping by Chris, Lillian had been oddly upbeat, even humming on her way back. But Joshua's plan to fly solo wiped away her good mood in an instant.

Lillian's face was a picture of worry. "Chris won't just let you walk away. It's way too risky to go alone. We should get the police involved, have them go with you!" Joshua frowned, his voice firm, "We can't involve the police. If Chris catches wind of it, he'll do something rash." "But hasn't her friend already called them? They know Allison's missing," Lillian argued.

Joshua explained, "Like I said, the police don't know about the kidnapping. If we work with the Owens family and tell the police she's been found, it won't be a problem. We can then hash out a plan to get Allie back." Ben chimed in, "So, how do you plan on rescuing her?" Joshua's resolve was unshakable. "Chris is gunning for me. I'll trade myself for her." Ben's eyes widened. "You're out of your mind!" Lillian joined in, "You can't do that!" Grandma Emily was firm, "I won't allow it!" The objections cin rapid-fire.

With a heavy look, Haley asked, "Is there really no other way?" "I have to go," Joshua replied, his tone leaving no room for debate.

Lillian, desperate, said, "But isn't that just a losing deal? How can Allison's life be worth more than yours?" Joshua's gaze turned icy, cutting through the room. His eyes were et storm of warning and anger, silencing Lillian instantly.

vel bet With a chill in his voice, Joshua declared, "I never want to hear that again." Lillian's eyes welled up, and she bit her lip, Allisoneeling wronged. "Brother, really more important tet your life?" "Yes." The room was stunned into silence by that single, unwavering word.

The air was thick with tension until Grandma Emily broke it, her voice laced with irritation, "This is absolute nonsense!"

Ben's expression was just as severe. "Joshua, have you forgotten what e.

your grandfather taught you?" "I haven't," Joshua replied, calm as ever. "You don't have to worry too

much about me. Allison is more important tothan my life, but I'm not dumb enough to trade my life for hers. If I go alone, neither of us will make it out." With Joshua's reassurance, the tension in the room eased a bit.

Haley asked, "So, does that mean you've got a plan?" Joshua nodded and began to lay out his detailed strategy.
