When last night's event was mentioned, Ella becspeechless. She even joined in on the gossip about

Stephanie. Previously, she had sworn such a serious oath, and now it's completely forgotten.

But before Ella started talking, she made sure the door was securely locked. “Hey, lettell you, he might not

be able to have an erection.”

Stephanie said, “Hmm? Go ahead, tellmore.”

When they discussed it with Sofia, it was merely a conversation. Whether Lorenzo was unable to have an

erection or not was purely guesswork. There was no solid evidence.

But Ella using might with that tone made it seem almost like a fact. Ella coughed awkwardly and said, “It’s just,

you know, | was helping him for quite a while last night and he didn’t react at all.”

Stephanie said, “Then he’s unable to have an erection.” Such a shfor someone so attractive.

“What exactly did you do to upset him today?” Stephanie asked. She thought, ‘If Ella got that scared, it must

have been something serious.”

Stephanie thought, ‘Didn’t Ella calllast night? At the time, | was half-asleep. What did she say? About the

fever medicine, | seemed to say to take a few more pills."

Stephanie's mouth twitched, and before Ella could speak, she interjected, “Hang on, how many fever pills did

you give Lorenzo last night?”

Stephanie thought, ‘I'm in big trouble. | was so sleepy that | let Ella give Lorenzo a few extra fever pills. Could

that harm him?

‘My mind went completely blank. I'm desperately hoping Ella has ssense and didn’t take my advice this

time."

Ella mumbled, “I only gave him one pill. When you said that, | thought you were clearly out of it.”

Stephanie breathed a sigh of relief, “That's a relief.” She thought, ‘If Lorenzo had taken more fever pills, even his

strong body wouldn't have taken them.”

Ella scoffed, “I'm not that dumb.”

“So why did you upset Lorenzo again? It wasn’t about cooling him down or giving him the wrong meds, so what's

going on?” Stephanie asked.

Ella replied, “Didn’t he fire the cook and askto take over?”

“You can’t cook,” Stephanie said. She thought, ‘Other than making oatmeal, people can't just live on it every

day, right?’

Ella said, “Exactly, | can’t cook well, but he insisted. So | thought, why not try making pasta?”

Stephanie replied, “Well, you can do that.” She thought, ‘Even though there were sfailures, Ella succeeded

before, so it shouldn't be a big deal.”

Ella said, “Yeah, but today was strange. | messed up the

pasta

twice.”

Stephanie replied, “What? You messed up?”

Ella said, “The first t| overcooked them.”

Stephanie thought, ‘Boiling something with just water and still managing to burn it? That's impressive.

Ella continued, “The second time, it ended up as mushy pasta.”

Stephanie was speechless.

Ella said, “Even worse, | might've added salt twice.”

Stephanie replied, “Isn't that going to be super salty?”

“No kidding, Bernard took one bite and spat it out like I'd poisoned it,” Ella said.

Stephanie thought, ‘Couldn’t hold back in front of Lorenzo? | remembered Bernard now. He wanted to follow

Sebastian back then, but Sebastian thought he was too weak and talked too much.

‘Now he’s with Lorenzo? No kidding, he’s like Macro. If the,

looked alike, they could be mistaken for twins!

Stephanie asked, “Did Lorenzo get mad at you?” She thought, ‘Just because Ella can’t cook pasta? That seems a

bit harsh.”

Ella replied, “He wasn’t mad at me.”

“Then who was he mad at?” Stephanie asked.

“I was scared,” Ella said. She thought, ‘The kind of person who could hurt me; | had to worry he’d do something

reckless in

anger.

Hearing Ella say that, Stephanie was left speechless. She thought, ‘Since Ella and Lorenzo were never on the

spage, it was understandable that Ella was always worried about his actions. It's like they're from different

worlds.’

“Alright, I'm flying tonight. Don’t worry, Ella,” Stephanie patiently comforted.

Ella muttered, “Don’t lie to me.”

“Okay, | promise.” They talked on the phone for a while longer, with Stephanie repeatedly assuring Ella that

nothing unexpected would occur until Ella finally hung up willingly.

Ella was scared. She had never seen anything like this when she was young. When Stephanie met terrible things,

Ella was more terrified than ever.
