Chapter 411: | guess that’s all...

When he got notice of this challenge, he was very glad because he was already bothered on how to apprehend

Davis who felt he had it all.

With Davis successful elimination of Desmond and Sylas. And more pressing was Aaron’s unwillingness to strive

for the takeover of the group.

He felt his chances of operation were slim. A thought that left him unsettled. Who would have thought Davis

would request to meet him over the table.

Feared not only for his skills at the table but also for the way he handled betrayal. Night wasn’t just a player; he

was a shark in human form or so they thought in the casino.

So, as usual, Night merchant was confident in himself.

Davis didn’t answer. He simply tapped the table with two fingers. Deal.

At least, at the moment, he was the one who pronounced the deal.

Cards slid across the green felt. The room grew quieter. Chips clinked as bets were placed.

Night tossed in a heavy stack without even looking at his cards. "All in," he said smoothly. His voice carried

arrogance, but his eyes burned with challenge.

Gasps echoed around the room. Everyone leaned forward, looking forward to the intensity of the fight.

Davis looked at his hand, then at Night. For a moment, it seemed he would fold. Then, slowly, he pushed his

chips in too. "Call."

The dealer swallowed hard. The cards were flipped. Night had a flush, strong almost unbeatable.

But Davis? He laid down a full house.

The crowd roared. Money spilled to his side of the table.

Night's smirk disappeared. His jaw tightened. He leaned closer, voice low. "You think you're clever, huh?"

Davis finally spoke, calm and deep. "I don’t think. | only win."

Night felt his temper snap, he slammed his fist on the table, making glasses rattle. The dealer flinched. Two

bouncers at the corner shifted uneasily, watching but couldn't interfere.

But before anyone could calm things down, Night stood. He grabbed a glass of whiskey and hurled it to the floor.

It shattered and liquid spilled across the tiles.

"Enough of you Dave Raven Allen!" he barked. His voice cut through the music. "You've been walking around like

you own the country. You're not invincible."

Davis rose slowly, his chair scraping the floor. He didn’t raise his voice. He only stared at him in silence.

Seeing him ruffled felt refreshing but then he is not just here to ruffle him but to take him down... he needed to

eliminate this bugging threat over his life.

The crowd began to clear space, forming a circle around them. Bets shifted from the table to the fight. Money

exchanged hands quickly with half on Night, half on Davis.

Night seeing him calm and unbothered tasted bile in his mouth, his blood boiling with envy, jealousy and anger

bottled up over the years.

Memories flooding through him. The reason why he was deranged... the reason he joined that terrible

organization and now he is at its peak why wouldn’t he eliminate him.

He was also an heir to his family business when the company hadn't gone bankrupt.

But then he had always lived in the shadows of Davis Allen because his father would always tell him about how

good and hardworking the teen Davis Allen was.

After his parents’ accident, Davis left the country who would have thought he would return and build the Allen

Group higher.

Through the underground, he found out about Desmond's desire to eliminate Davis because of the family’s

possession and the prototype, he thought his opportunity was at hand.

Who would have thought that Davis would survive the accident. He had always hidden his face from them.

Desmond, Vera and even the weak Aaron.

With Davis crippled, he hoped he would remain in the background until he gets Desmond to transfer the Allen

major shares but then that woman stepped forward to destroy his plans.

And at this casino, he must bring everything to an end...

With the fury in his heart, he struck first, a sudden punch aimed straight for Davis's jaw.

But Davis had been waiting. He nimbly caught his fist mid-air, twisted his wrist, and shoved him back against the

table. Chips scattered to the ground.

The crowd shouted.

Night roared and charged again, this tslamming his shoulder into Davis's chest. They crashed to the floor.

Davis grunted but rolled, kicking him off.

Night scrambled up, rage in his eyes. He pulled a knife from his jacket. Gasps filled the room.

"No weapons," the dealer cried weakly. But no one listened.

Davis's gaze hardened. He grabbed the edge of a chair, snapping off one of its legs. He had expected this fight

wouldn't just end with fist.

Night slashed forward. Davis blocked with the chair leg, sparks flying as wood met metal while he countered with

a strike to his ribs. Night staggered and the crowd cheered wildly, drunk with adrenaline.

Night lunged again, knife flashing. This tthe blade grazed Davis's arm, drawing blood.

Davis gritted his teeth but didn’t slow. Instead, he swung the chair leg hard into Night's hand. The knife clattered

to the ground.

Before he could recover, Davis landed a solid punch across his jaw which sent him stumbling backward, crashing

into the bar. Bottles shattered, liquor spilling down his suit.

Night's face twisted in fury. He grabbed a broken bottle and charged again.

Davis felt his tticking and decided to solve this matter quickly. "I have little tto waste." He chuckled.

Davis ducked, caught Night by the waist, and lifted him clean off the ground. A move Night didn’t expect him to

use.

With a roar, he slammed him onto the table. Cards, chips, and glasses flew everywhere. The crowd screamed in

excitement.

Night coughed, blood spilling from his mouth. Still, he tried to rise. But Davis pressed the chair leg to his throat,

pinning him down.

Silence fell. Only the heavy breathing of the two men filled the air. Davis's low and cold voice coursed through

the silent hall.

"The bet was his freedom." The crowd kept silent in agreement. It was loud and clear when Night proposed it.

"Victor Arthur, you won't be shameless not to fulfill your bet, right?"

Night merchant clenched his fist, he

He was not reconciled with this result yet he couldn't lose his dignity before this crowd... not now, not ever.

He had an option to write an agreement promising to steer clear of his path but then such acts he believes will

boost Davis’ pride.

Without giving him any chance of changing his mind, Davis dragged him out of the casino.

Outside the casino...

Victor took a deep breath "Davis you are not invincible you know."

"I don’t envy what's not mine." Davis retorted. And his men pulled the man away.

"Your arm is bleeding." Ethan said worriedly.

Davis sighed. "Just a cut. Let's go back."

As he boarded the car and slowly they pulled away from the club. "Sylas?"

"Taken to the station." Ethan clipped.

Davis exhaled deeply, his shoulders sagging with relief. "I guess that’s all."
