Chapter 1493

The director was more than happy to accommodate such a small request. If it meant bringing in Fiona, he'd not

only offer a bigger office but even clear out his own if needed.

"Ms. Fiona, we've been eagerly waiting for you," an elderly doctor said with a warm smile, still dressed in his

surgical scrubs and beaming at her.

"Absolutely, Ms. Fiona. We've got a bunch of questions we'd love to pick your brain about," chimed in a man in

casual clothes, pushing his way to the front. Fiona almost mistook him for a patient.

"Sorry, Ms. Fiona. It's my day off, but when | heard you were coming to the hospital, | rushed over without even

changing," he explained.

"Ms. Fiona, could you helpwith my research project?" another voice called out.

Fiona was surrounded, but the doctors were considerate of her personal space, standing a respectful distance

away, knowing she preferred it that way. Seven settled on the sofas, patient for their turn.

Meanwhile, Christina and the director found themselves squeezed in near Allen's bedside. If Allen weren't

bedridden, the line would have stretched even further.

Christina was seeing Fiona's popularity firsthand for the first time. It was unusual for someone so young, still in

high school, to be held in such high regard.

"Director, what's her status that makes all these doctors flock to her?" Christina was baffled.

No matter how skilled Fiona was, this level of admiration seemed over the top. All the doctors seeking her

advice? It was hard to believe!

The director looked at the crowd with a satisfied grin. "Ms. Fiona's medical skills are the finest we've ever

encountered. She's mastered techniques that are incredibly complex and often beyond the understanding of

most."

"Incredibly complex?" Christina couldn't quite grasp it. Isn't the main goal just to heal? What else could there be?

She frowned and pressed further, "Director, are you sure she can save Allen?"

Her heart was in turmoil as she asked. Part of her wanted Fiona to save Allen, but another part feared the

consequences.

If Fiona could save Allen, she might uncover what Christina had done. Or worse, she might ask Allen crucial

questions that could expose her.

"Christina, don't worry. Ms. Fiona's skills are top-notch. So far, there's not been a case she couldn't handle," the

director assured her confidently, his eyes sparkling with renewed hope.

If Fiona said there was no hope, then it was likely truly hopeless, short of an encounter with the Grim Reaper.

"Let's hope so," Christina murmured, her sigh barely audible. Her brow furrowed even more, anxiety causing

sweat to bead on her palms.

"Ms. Fiona, your insights have truly opened our eyes. We've been stuck in our ways, resisting innovation. No

wonder we've made no progress in our field."

"Yes, but are you sure you can treat the patient you're seeing now, lying there?" asked another, referring to Allen

Several of the doctors présent had already tried to treat him but to no avail.
