Raymond was still standing there. His face looked freezing cold in the moonlight.
Scarlett had turned back and got in the car. She glanced at Raymond through the windshield. But after just one glance, she
withdrew her eyes. Then she looked down and fastened the seat belt.
“Raymond didn’t give you a hard time, did he?”
Although it was no more than a minute, and sitting in the car, he saw Raymond did nothing, still, Mark felt a little worried.
Hearing Mark’s concern, Scarlett laughed softly, “How could he give me a hard time?”
Looking at Scarlett and the bright smile in her eyes, Mark was fascinated by her. He felt a little tightness i n his throat, “That’s
good.”
Damn it! This woman who was his boss, was so beautiful. What if he was too obsessed with her?
“It’s getting late. Let’s go.”
Mark nodded and withdrew his eyes. He didn’t dare to look at Scarlett anymore. Just now, it was because he glanced at Scarlett
that he accidentally rear-ended the car in front of them.
It was 1 a.m. when the car arrived at Scarlett’s villa. Scarlett was tired and too sleepy, so she said good night and went straight
into the house with her presents.

“Hilla, turn off the alarm for tomorrow.”
“Yes, ma’am.”

Scarlett hadn’t slept so late in four or five years. She took a bath. Then she went to bed and fell asleep immediately.
She had a good night’s sleep.
Raymond, however, did not sleep very well. To be precise, he hardly slept at all.
All night long, he thought like crazy about Scarlett’s kiss or her pretty face in the moonlight when her car crashed into his.
She was so stunning, so charming!
Raymond had been married to Scarlett for three years. But he never treated her seriously. In his mind, his ex-wife was a vain
woman with a pretty face and a good disguise of a gold-digger.

But in the four months since the divorce, Scarlett had given him so many surprises.
He thought she was vain, that she had married him for his money, and that she liked him only because he was handsome and he
was an aristocrat. But when they got divorced, she didn’t ask for anything. It was s o unbecoming of her vanity.
For three years of marriage, she had been living in the Shaw family house and tortured by his mother.
Occasionally his mother would call him to complain about Scarlett’s stupidity and uselessness.
He had never thought Scarlett was stupid before. If she were really stupid, she wouldn’t have asked him t o marry her. But now
he thought about it again and he thought that she was kind of stupid before. She had been married to him for three years, but
she hadn’t asked for a single penny when they got divorced.
Actually, he did not want to get the divorce so soon. H e was waiting for the right time and he would give her a big amount of
money as compensation for the divorce.Books Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updates...

However, on that day, she went straight to the Marriage License Bureau with the divorce settlement. For more than four months
after the divorce, he thought she would regret it and that she would come back and beg him to take her back.
However, she didn’t.
Not only did she not regret it or come back to beg him, she even lived a better life away from him. Her career was going better
and better.
She hit the headlines in the news every day with different young actors. Her life had become so wonderful since she left him, and
somehow, Crain Vision had become her company.
She proved everyone who called her a gold digger was wrong, even him.
Raymond lit a cigarette. As he was lost in thought in the smoke, he suddenly remembered the day they got married and she
looked at him and said, “Raymond, please love me for the rest of your life.”
It was a hell of a thing! He would someday remember such a trifle thing in the past..
