Chapter 1061 You Want to Marry Me

Originally, she was just joking, but she didn’t expect Gideon to become

serious suddenly.

He took Lena’s hand and looked into her eyes earnestly, speaking

deliberately. “I don’t care what others might think. I only know that without

you, there would be no child in my life. If I had to choose between you and a

child, I would choose you without hesitation.”

His expression was so serious that it made Lena really believe that, at least at

that moment, he was speaking sincerely.

“Be careful of what you say,” Lena said, feeling warm, yet she still glared at

Gideon wryly. “If the child heard you, he might never call you Dad.”

Enter title…

Hearing her casually mention the word “Dad”, Gideon laughed. “That won’t

do. We have to make sure he knows from the start that Mom is the most

precious treasure in the world. No one is allowed to bully her, not even Dad.”

Lena didn’t say anything more and just looked deeply at Gideon before lying

down on the bed.

Gideon didn’t say much more, either. After washing the glass and taking a

quick shower, he returned to the bedroom.

By then, Lena had already fallen asleep. As soon as Gideon lay down, she

instinctively rolled into his arms.

Perhaps even Lena herself hadn’t realized that she had unconsciously

become dependent on Gideon, needing to cling tightly to him even when

sleeping to feel secure.

Gideon looked at her sleeping face, affectionately and devoutly planting a

gentle kiss on her forehead before he fell asleep, too.

What he did not know was that after he fell asleep, Lena, who had just

automatically rolled into his embrace, quietly opened her eyes.

She had felt everything just now, and it was because of this that she felt even

more determined in her decision.

The next morning, Gideon woke up earlier than Lena.

He was about to get out of bed to make breakfast when Lena, who had

woken up at some point, grabbed his sleeve.

“What’s wrong?” Gideon asked, looking at Lena with concern, thinking that

she might be feeling unwell.

But Lena simply shook her head. “I have something to ask you.”

Seeing the seriousness on Lena’s face, Gideon became solemn.

“What is it?”

Lena glanced at Gideon’s face and asked in a soft voice, “Do you have your

Citizenship Certificate now?”

“Citizenship Certificate?” Gideon looked at Lena, bewildered. He had thought

her question was about some significant matter, only to find out it was about

the Citizenship Certificate.

“I always carry my Citizenship Certificate with me. Do you want to get

married?” Gideon joked with a light smile, but to his surprise, Lena actually

nodded.

Gideon froze completely, looking at Lena in disbelief, his voice trembling

slightly. “Did you just nod?”

Upon seeing his shocked expression, Lena, who had been a bit nervous,

relaxed instead. With a giggly smile, she pretended not to understand on

purpose. “What are you saying? I don’t understand what you mean.”

If Gideon still did not understand what Lena meant by this point, he would

have been too stupid.

He rushed forward, scooping Lena up in his arms. “You want to marry me,

right?”

Lena exclaimed in surprise, quickly wrapping her arms around Gideon’s neck,

“If you don’t put me down soon, I’m going to regret it!”
