He subconsciously tightened his embrace with his other hand.“Be careful. After all these years, you're still so
careless?”
Her cheeks turned rosy as she leaned against his arms and looked up at him, her voice carrying a hint of
coquetry.
“Jaime, you're so annoying.”
The onlookers started teasing again.
Jawas about to say something when he looked up and suddenly met Mariela’s icy cold eyes.
Jaseemed to have just realized that his girlfriend was present. He snapped back to reality, withdrew his hand
that was placed on Juliette’s waist, and took a few steps back.
His friends followed his gaze; only then did they realize that Mariela was present. They all started to smooth
things over.
“Let’s continue playing. Juliette, since your stomach is weak, don’t drink. If you lose,

“Nice! Truth or dare it is.”
After Japulled himself together, he returned to the couch.
He thought Mariela would get jealous and would throw a tantrum at him.
However, she said nothing.
Her indifferent attitude instead made him feel a trace of inexplicable panic.
His gut told him Mariela was somehow different from before.
Silence filled the air.
He hesitated, wanting to explain when the teasing started again.
“Juliette, you lost again. Truth or dare?”
Jaime’s attention was once again drawn to Juliette.
His gaze was glued to Juliette..
“Dare.”
-Juliette turned her head and cast her gaze towards Jaime, smiling meaningfully.
“Alright. The dares are here. Pick one.” Someone handed her a stack of slips.
She randomly picked one, and the person who read it widened his eyes at once.
His gaze shifted between Juliette, Jaime, and Mariela.
A curious girl leaned closer and said, “What did she get? Letsee.”
Instantly, she gasped.
Everyone was curious.
“What did she get?”
“Tell us!”

“Kiss a random person of the opposite sex in the room,” the man read out, quickly glancing at Jaime. Sure
enough, Japulled a long face right away.
The air in the entire room seemed to freeze.
Juliette,
however,
acted oblivious, standing up with a smile and walking over to a handsman.
“Efrain, mind if | kiss you?”
Efrain Chaney stole a glance at Jaime, who had a murderous expression, and he didn’t even dare to breathe out
loud. Seeing that Efrain remained silent, Juliette wrapped her arms around his neck and was about to kiss him..
“Enough!”
Jasnapped, unable to bear it any longer. He rushed up to grab Juliette’s hand and stormed out of the door.
The others exchanged glances and then turned sympathetic eyes to Mariela.
Mariela picked up the juice on the table and took a sip, smiling nonchalantly, “Why are you all looking at me?”
