Chapter 1106 How Dare You!
Bert had been tormented by desire almost to the point of fainting last night, but the moment he stepped into the
room, Bert was at least clear-headed. He was still struggling to restrain the demons within him, but seeing her face,
seeing her lying beneath him, everything seemed to be like a wild horse out of control.
He possessed that girl, and it wasn't all due to the effects of the drugs; there was a deep desire within him that
acted as the ultimate catalyst.
So, when he saw her lying next to him this morning, he was surprised, but more than that, he was filled with self-
doubt. He couldn't believe that, besides Evelyn, he had accepted another woman, and this woman had come and
gone so quietly.
Before all of this happened last night, Bert never thought he had any different feelings for Alivia.

Even standing in the cold water, the thought of her alluring and enchanting beneath him still made his blood boil...
Bert suddenly saw a corner of his heart clearly. Seeing it made everything easier, knowing what he had to admit
and what he had to do.
Fifteen minutes later, the two were dressed and Bert led Lucas out of the room. They stopped at the door of the
adjacent room as if they had made a certain decision. He raised his hand to knock on the doorbell but hesitated,
doing it several times without any response.
A sense of unease crept up in the man's mind, and he took out a spare room card from his pocket and swiped it
into the slot.
"Beep."
After a soft sound, the door opened, and as he pushed the door in, the tightly drawn curtains couldn't stop the
bright light from outside. The bed, the things on the bedside table, everything was exactly as it was when he left,
except for the clothes thrown in the trash can.
It was the one he tore apart last night.
Bert's face suddenly turned gloomy. He walked around the room, but there was no sign of that familiar figure.
He stood in the position where she had confessed her love to him this morning, but unfortunately, it was now
empty.
Did she leave?
Bert didn't even have time to get angry. He picked up his phone, opened the call log, and quickly found her number.
He dialed it, only to be met with a cold, mechanical female voice:
"Sorry, the user you are trying to reach is currently unavailable. Please try again later."
The man, unable to stand the frustration, didn't wait for the prompt to finish and slammed the phone hard into the

Lucas watched Bert pacing anxiously by the bed, but there was no sign of Ms. Graves. Though young in age, he had
the purest heart.
Had they quarreled?
Lucas walked over and looked at the discarded phone, offering some comfort, "Mr. Harper, Ms. Graves has been so
good to me. Maybe I can send her a text."
"A message? She turned off her phone and couldn't see it." Bert sat on the sofa at the head of the bed and took a
deep breath. He seemed to be angry, but in fact, he was frustrated.
For the first time in his life, he felt so frustrated.
Because he ignored her confession this morning, she turned away, and now he tasted what it was like to be treated
this way. He had always known she had a strong sense of self-respect, but he never realized it could be so
tormenting.
Was he the one who ran away after sleeping?
Bert smiled gloomily. It was the bold woman.
